The 47th WG1 Meeting will be held at Microsoft Northern California District Headquarters at Westfield Centre; 835 Market St. in downtown San Francisco. The adjacent Westfieldor San FranciscoShopping Center is a well know landmark and the historicUnion Square is two blocks away. The meetings rooms will be located on the 7th floor of the building.

Travel

Flights can be arranged through San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or Oakland International Airport (OAK). SFO is a major airport with numerous international flights. The airport is frequently on reduced operation due to fog although international flights have priority. SFO is served by most major airlines. San Jose (SJC) is another alternative airport.

Taxis from SFO and OAK to Market Street are $45 and $60 respectively including a reasonable tip. BART (the subway) also serves both airports with service to Powell St. The Powell Street station is located near Union Square on Market Street. Taxis can be used from there to Fisherman’s Wharf. Car rental is discouraged since overnight city parking can be in excess of $40 per night.
