IRPLAST PRESENTS TAMPER EVIDENT 2.0 THE SECURITY TAPE AT IPACK-IMA 2015

Milan, 19-23 May 2015 – Irplast - one of the most active players in the international packaging market - presents TAMPER EVIDENT 2.0, the latest upgrade of Irplast security tape. Irplast is attending the international packaging exhibition in Milan focusing on the full product range: BOPP film, the latest innovative Labels and high performance Adhesive Tapes. Irplast is an Italian industrial group vertically integrated (production of bi-oriented polypropylene film by BIMO subsidiary and printed adhesive tapes and labels by Irplast), operating in Food, Beverage, Tobacco and Toiletries industrial areas. The advantages of integration offers unique opportunities for rapid and targeted R&D initiatives on films, thanks to the possibility to immediately test the conversion and application performance of the new products.

PRINTED ADHESIVE TAPE

Irplast's printed adhesive tape is produced with bi-oriented polypropylene film and water-based acrylic or hot melt adhesive. Film thickness from 19 to 60 micron. Flexografic print up to 8 colours and rotogravure print up to 10 colours with print on the reverse side up to 3 colours. Irplast technology allows to obtain an excellent quality of high definition printing, both positive and negative between the film and the adhesive mass (reverse printing). The reverse method protects the printed colours and logos from abrasion and aging due to the use of the tape and ensures it longer life. Reproduction with guaranteed legibility of each type of coding (EAN, UPC,ITF14,etc.). The high quality printing allows you to use Irplast’s customized adhesive tapes also as advertising media, branding, promotion and packaging coding. Among the most innovative printed adhesive tape:

Ø TAMPER EVIDENT 2.0: on PET silicon backing of 23 µm and with solvent free hot melt adhesive, comes with a double personalization, allowing users to differentiate between the printing of the logo on the back of the tape (company logo or advertising) and the security message. The release of a security message on the packaging (customizable and/or multilingual) is visible only when trying to remove the tape and allows immediate recognition of tampering attempts. TAMPER EVIDENT 2.0 is the perfect product for responding to recent EU-regulations on air freight.

Ø AIRTAPETM : adhesive tape characterized by a thickness of only 19µm (market standard 25-28 µm). Ideal for multi-sector packaging.

Ø POLY+TM : matt finish acrylic adhesive tape, with increased thickness and adhesive weight (35µm, 24g/m2), which guarantees optimum tack and adhesion.

LABELS

Ø Pre-Glued Shrink Labels: heat shrinkable pre-glued roll fed labels, ideal for containers in PET, HDPE or glass.

Ø MICRON19TM : the latest polypropylene film generation, only 19 µm thick, ecological, it is able to guarantee high performance.

MULTIPACK SYSTEM

Ø Multipack: is an innovative system which makes it possible to realize multipacks that maintain brand image and are eco-compatible since they allow a notable reduction in secondary packaging.
