Using ADD Self Service

Discovia and ipro’s ADD tool allow you to upload small datasets for processing and review. This document will walk you through the process of uploading content into ADD for processing and review in Relativity.

Before you begin uploading content a few things that should be covered. All data must be in compressed container files, PST or ZIP are supported.

Best Practice: Each custodian should have their own container file. When using ADD and Self Service you can only select one case and one custodian. Make sure each ZIP file is named after the custodian for easy tracking.

  1. Open your browsers, either Chrome Internet Explorer or Safi and navigate to the URL provided to you for your environment, contact your Discovia team member for additional assistance.
  2. Login using your email address and password provided to you by your Discovia team member

  1. After logging into ADD, click the Self Service icon as shown below.
  1. Next with Self Service open select either option, I want to upload a file for processing later or I want to upload a file to process into review. In this example we will upload a file to process into Review.
  1. Next use the Select file icon at the top of the window to navigate to the file to be uploaded and processed into review. This file must be in a compressed format either a PST or ZIP file format.
  1. Select the file, as shown below and click open. In this example we will select a file named RE Fort irpo-Export.zip as shown below.

  1. With the file selected, you can edit the name of the file or simply select the case the file will be processed into.
  1. Next using the pull down menu select the case, in this example we have selected the case ADD Demo as shown below
  1. With the case selected, either click the plus symbol to create a new custodian or select an existing custodian using the down arrow. In this example we have selected an existing custodian.

NOTE: If you select to create a new custodian a popup warning will appear to confirm this action as shown below.

  1. Next select the type of media you’re uploading and processing. As shown in this example we used the pull down menu to select Archive email.
  1. Next click Go to begin processing the data as shown below
  1. Once you have clicked Go ADD and Self Service begins coping and processing your data. This screen is displayed showing you the status of the process.

NOTE: At any time during the copy process clicking out of this window or clicking the pause icon will pause or stall the copy.

  1. Once the copy is complete your screen will display the following information regarding your upload: how many documents were discovered, filtered, exported and how many where promoted to review. An error count is also displayed in this window.
