Getting Started

  1. Open IEP Tracking Chart – Blank from this email using the iPad.
  2. Touch spreadsheet. In the top right corner a square with an up arrow will appear (I will refer to this as upload button).
  3. Click on upload button.
  4. Click on Open in Numbers button (green with a bar graph). This will create a copy in your app.
  5. To make additional copies for each student, click and hold spreadsheet until spreadsheets start to jiggle.
  6. Once jiggling, click on the top left button that is 2 squares with a “+” sign in the middle.
  7. To change the name of your spreadsheet to include your students initials, click on the copied title. Click done when finished.

Customizing each spreadsheet

  1. Open the student’s spreadsheet (to get to all of your spreadsheets available if already in a spreadsheet, click on “Spreadsheets” in the top left corner).
  2. In Cell C1, a drop down menu of either “VI skills” or “O&M Skills” is available.
  3. Fill in Students Name and Start and End dates by touching each cell and typing in the information.
  4. To create a dropdown menu with your student’s objectives, click on cell C9.
  5. Click on paintbrush in top right column.
  6. Click on “Format”
  7. Click on “Pop-Up Menu.”
  8. Click on each “Item” and type in the objectives here.

Completing each spreadsheet

  1. Date- double tap on cell to complete in date format.
  2. Lesson Plan – tap on cell once and begin typing lesson plan.
  3. Objectives – tap on cell to view drop down menu.
  4. Trials – tap on cell and type out trials (for example, 1 out of 2) or use an apostrophe to type out the fraction ( for example, ‘1/2).
  5. Prompts – tap on cell once and begin typing any prompts used.
  6. ECC – tap on cell to view drop down menu.
  7. Notes–Tap on “Notes” spreadsheet at top of menu bar to input additional notes if needed.
  8. Date - double tap on cell to complete in date format.
  9. Notes – tap on cell once and begin typing Notes.

Sending spreadsheet to Excel to print (if you don’t have Apple computer connected to your printer)

  1. Open spreadsheet in Numbers app.
  2. In top right corner, click on Upload button.
  3. Click on “Send a copy.”
  4. Click on “Excel.”
  5. Click on “Mail.”
  6. Email to yourself. This does take a long time to convert and send to your email (around 7 hours).
  7. Once you open the spreadsheet, you may need to adjust the formatting so it prints correctly.

To format in Excel

  1. Click on “View” tab at top of spreadsheet.
  2. Click on “Page Break Preview.”
  3. If there are dotted blue lines cutting off some of your spreadsheet you need to move them to include all of your data.
  4. Move mouse over dotted vertical line until “ ” appears.
  5. Left click and hold on mouse. Drag dotted line to include Column F.
  6. Move mouse over dotted horizontal line until “ “ appears.
  7. Left click and hold on mouse. Drag dotted line to include to top of Row 41.
