e-Reimbursement Worklow Issues

Wednesday, December 4, 2013 – 11:00am

We have received notices from many e-Reimbursement Approvers/Auditors this morning regarding some unusual behavior in the system. It appears that expense reports that have already been approved and marked as paid are appearing in approval queues. We have also noted some odd workflow situations where reports were routed to the Workflow Administrators’ queue for no apparent reason. We have been busy communicating all of this information to UW System who will work with DoIT to fix these issues. At this time, we would like Approvers/Auditors to hold off on any further approvals until further notice.

Please bear with us until we get this resolved. Thank you for your patience.

Update: Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 – 3:00pm

The e-Reimbursement Technical Team continues to work on the issues addressed in the e-mail below. At this time, it is suspected that the issue may be related to the Employee Expense History link.

Until further notice, Approvers/Auditors should not approve transactions or attempt to access Employee Expense History.

Update: Thursday, December 5, 2013 – 8:00am

The e-Reimbursement Technical Team has identified the cause of the workflow issue we experienced yesterday and is working on a solution. Approvers/Auditors may now carry on with business as usual, but with one exception. We are still experiencing some problems with the reassign functionality. Approvers/Auditors are advised to reassign with caution. Reassigning within the same role (e.g. from one Approver to another) is fine, but reassigning “across boundaries” (e.g. Approver to Auditor) may cause problems.

In addition, please note that central processing has been cancelled for today in order to allow the developers to implement a fix. This means that payments will not be generated for e-Reimbursement today.

Thank you again for your patience. We will continue to update you with any new information we may have.
