Minutes from September 10, 2015 Meeting

Attending the meeting was Susan Kelsey, Whitney Pickett, Deborah McDowell, Ellen Stirling, Megan Stockton, Joanna Rolek, Susan Wright, Susan Banks, Nicole Altounian, Maxwell Gregory, Eric and Lee Shifka.

The team discussed the need to drive traffic to businesses. The group identified three strategies to drive traffic to businesses:

1)Create more events

2)Create an advertising and promotional campaign

3)Create a strong business owner/property owner/chamber/city partnership or collaborative structure to implement the above two strategies.

The team reviewed L3 customer research information and determined there were three customer segments: Top Tier (50-80% of LF population), Golden Years (9-27% of LF population) and Urban Chic (7-23% of LF population). See segment descriptions below. The team will develop a marketing strategy for each of the segments. In the meantime, the team will use the chambers ad campaign developed a year ago to market local businesses in the 4th quarter, 2015. A sample ad campaign using local photographer Kerri Sherman is attached to the agenda.

L3 will contact Marcus Lemonis company for a representative.
