Profile

In recent years, global service trade has grown rapidly, and the total exports of world service trade have increased tenfold from USD 365 billion in 1980 to USD 3.73 trillion in 2008, and the proportion of world service trade exports to world trade exports has increased from one seventh to nearly a quarter. In 2008, China achieved total imports and exports of USD 304.5 billion, ranking fifth in the world, thus progressively becoming a major country for global service trade.

The Chinese government attached great importance to the development of the service industry and service trade, expressly proposing, “To make the service industry a leading industry of the national economy as soon as possible is the only way to advance economic restructuring and speed up the transformation of modes of economic growth, an urgent need to effectively alleviate the restriction of the bottleneck of shortage of energy and resources and increase the efficiency in resource utilization, as well as an effective path to adapt to the new situation of opening to the outside world and accomplish the overall enhancement of comprehensive national strength.”

In order to demonstrate the actualities and trends of China’s service industry, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), in combination with numerous domestic industrial and commercial associations, is schedule to hold “China International Service Trade Industry 2010” in Beijing from November 13 to 15, 2010. The exposition is China’s first general exposition themed by “service trade”, and involves a number of service sectors such as finance, education, communications, environmental protection, health, culture and tourism.

The exposition will invite hundreds of domestic and overseas famous service agencies, thousands of domestic and overseas service enterprises, over 100 domestic and overseas general and professional media institutions and tens of thousands of visitors to witness the grand Chinese feast of service trade. A series of spectacular events such as the “2nd China International Forum on Service Industry”, “China International Forum on Creative Design”, “1st China Young Designer Competition”, “China International Creative Design Week”, “Miss Tourism World” Asian Finals and “LOHAS Low Carbon Living Show” will be staged concurrently.

The exposition will be the best approach for exhibitors to demonstrate the latest services, products and technologies, enhance corporate popularity, seek trade partners and widen business channels. Qualifications

1.Any exhibitor shall have a corporate business license;

2.Any import products shall have an inspection qualification certificate and a hygiene license;

3.Any producer shall have a production permit and a hygiene license;

4.No exhibitors may deal in any counterfeit and shoddy product otherwise shall bear any consequence thus incurred;

5.Any exhibitor whose major exhibits account for over 60% of all its exhibits must participate by category.

6.Any exhibit involving intellectual property must have a patent certificate or relevant documents.
