INVITATION OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR ADMISSION UNDER SELF-SPONSORED CATEGORY:

2010/2011 INTAKE FOR GENERIC CANDIDATES

Mzuzu University wishes to invite applications for expression of interest from generic candidates who applied for admission to various programmes for the 2010/2011 intake but have not been selected underGovernment Scholarship, to be considered for admission under Self-Sponsored Category. The programmesare as follows:

Criteria for selection

Candidates will be selected based on merit and their ability to pay fees.

Fees

Candidates admitted under this category will be required to pay fees amounting to K168,100 tuition per academic year, payable once at the beginning of the academic year; or in two equal instalments payable at the beginning of each semester in an academic year. The fees do not include board and lodge.

Application Requirements

Candidates wishing to be considered for admission under Self-Sponsored Category should:

a.be those who already submitted their application for admission during the 2010/2011 admission process

b.submit an application letterconfirming their examination number; their last school attended; and their first, second and third choice of programmes

c.provide proof of ability to pay the fees by way of bank statements or letters of commitment from the sponsor

d.be ready to report for studies on 2nd January 2011

Submission Procedure and Deadline

Letters of expression of interest should be submitted to the University Registrar’s office by post or hand-delivered on Campus at the Registryusing the address given below, not later than Thursday, 2nd December 2010.
