Bob Cene Memorial Rules

There is a four-game guarantee. (Weather Permitting)

1. The tournament will be played under American League Rules.
2. The NFHS reentry rule for starters will be in effect.
3. There are no time limits.
4. There are no courtesy runners.
5. A team may use an Extra Hitter to bat ten, if you start the game with ten, you must end the game with ten players in the batting order or you will forfeit the game. A team starting the game with nine must end the game with nine players in the batting order or you will forfeit the game.
6. Seeding will be based upon overall record. Tiebreakers for seeding will be head to head if possible, runs allowed, run differential, and then runs scored, beyond this point the tournament committee will decide the seed in question.
7. This is a wooden bat tournament, composites are legal, no metal bats.
8. A team roster will be submitted in the Cene Park Press Box prior to the team starting play. This will designate who is eligible to play for every team and also to pass roster packets to college coaches and scouts.
9. Mercy Rule as followed 8 runs after 5 innings, 10 runs after 4 innings, 12 runs after 3 innings.
10. A max of 8 runs will be the highest run differential possible.
11. There are no pitching limit rules for the tournament.
12. If a coach or player is ejected from a game. They will have to sit an additional game after being ejected.
13. There are no protests, all matters will be made final on the field of play, if there is a matter of interpretation in dispute, members of the tournament committee will make a decision on site.
14. There will be no pregame warmups on the field, we will try to start the next game as close to start time listed as possible. With that being said please have your team report no later than an hour before a game. We will start the next game as soon as we can prior to the last contest concluding.
15. The NFHS slide rule will be in effect for this tournament.
16. A coin toss will determine home team in pool play. During elimination rounds, the higher seeded team will always be the home team.
17. There will be gate fees at locations, family members and fans should be prepared to pay these fees. Passes will also be available for the entire tournament.
18. Coaches and players are expected to be in team apparel and uniform while at the facility to designate team members from spectators.
19. All Bob Cene Park rules are expected to be enforced for this tournament, we ask all spectators to adhere to the park rules if asked upon.
20. We expect all players to conduct themselves properly, Coaches you will be held accountable for your players actions.
