Invitation to a CCB seminar in Russia

Sustainable Wastewater Management

– Solutions for Households and Villages

SEMINAR PROGRAMME

The seminar will introduce new views and solutions on wastewater management, for small- and medium-sized municipalities and single-family homes. Different strategies and techniques will be covered from measures at the point of origin to the end of the pipe. Leading specialists from Sweden, St.Petersburg and Leningrad region will make presentations on development of wastewater management historically and the situation today, challenges for the future, and technical trends.

The seminar will include components such as:

-Techniques for source separating of household wastewater (toilets and systems with urine-separation, black-water separation, grey-water separation). How can wastewater diversion contribute to sustainable wastewater management?

-Techniques for robust wastewater treatment. Focus will be on different outdoor systems, such as sand filters, irrigation systems, chemical precipitation in ponds and wetlands systems.

-planning for upgrading wastewater treatment in small villages.

PARTICIPANT TARGET GROUP

Authorities responsible for wastewater treatment, institutions involved in planning and construction of wastewater treatment facilities, and companies working on construction of small-scale wastewater treatment facilities.

Practical information

The seminar starts on 30 November at 14.30 (departure of seminar participants on a bus from the metro station Moskovskaya). The seminar finishes on 1 December at 18.00 (arrival of seminar participants on a bus to the metro station Moskovskaya). The seminar venue is: Education Centre for Top Managers, St.Petersburg-Pushkin, Radisheva st. 4.

The seminar is free of charge, including meals and accommodation for one night. Travel costs are covered by the seminar participants.
