Inventory and Assessment of Current Health Data System

We plan to obtain information from and about the following entities as processors/holders/analyzers of the data that make up health data systems in Maine:

  • MHDO
  • OnPoint
  • MaineCare
  • MCDC
  • HealthInfoNet
  • Maine Quality Forum

  • Major health systems – EMH, MaineHealth, Maine General, CMMC)

As a first step, the following set of questions will be sent to the appropriate person within the above listed organizations prior to a phone or in-person interview to complete the questionnaire. The collected information will provide an operational overviewof Maine’s current data sources and systems, essentially a “snapshot” picture of how health data in Maine is generated, aggregated analyzed and used.

Operational Questions - Although many of the entities listed above will fall into more than one category (generator, aggregator, analyzer or data user), as the inventory is conducted and completed, the questions and assessment and analysis of Maine’s health data systems will be broken down by data category.
