Grading
1. Each class assignment receives a specific number of points. The student’s grade is determined by dividing the number of points earned by the total number of points possible and then multiplying by 100%
- Ex. 46 points earned and 50 points possible: 46/50 x 100 = 92%
2. Assignments will include: Labs, tests, quizzes, homework, and projects. One class participation score will be given for each term.
3. Grading: 90-100 A Superior work
80-89 B Above Average
70-79 C Average
60-69 D Poor Work
59↓ F Failure
Final Grade Calculation: Each term is 40% of semester grade. 55% of the remaining 20% is the final exam and 45% is the average of the three CRES assessments.
40% / 40% / 20%Term 1 / Term 2 / CRES 1 15%
CRES 2 15%
CRES 3 15% / Final
Exam
55%
Missed Assignments
Per FCPS policy, students will have two days for each day they are absent to make-up missed work. All assignments must be completed before the test for that unit. When you are absent it is your responsibility to get any notes from a classmate and check your class folder for any missed assignments.
General Conduct
- Students are to be in their assigned seats and ready to begin the warm-up when the bell rings.
- There is no eating or drinking in class.
- The use of foul language will not be tolerated.
- Respect yourselves and each other.
I have read the syllabus and agree to follow these rules and policies set forth.
