Introductory Note for the corresponding market survey in preparation of OPE-641: Supply of Support to the Design Office of F4E in the areas of Plant Layout, Schematics and Electrical Engineering CAD

In the frame of the preparation of OPE-641 (Supply of Support to the Design Office of F4E in the areas of Plant Layout, Schematics and Electrical Engineering CAD), F4E launches a market survey to identify potential European companies (EU + Switzerland) able to provide such services. This technical note provides some information to understand the scope of the call, in order,for any interested company, to answer to the market survey.

Type of services

Services to support the Design Office of F4E in the compliance of its obligations related to the performance of Plant Layout, Schematics and Electrical Engineering Computer-Aided Design (CAD).The scope of the forthcoming Call For Tender is expected to cover the assistance to F4E in the performance of diagrams (diagram design), in the technical assessment of existing diagrams (diagram analysis), in the integration of diagrams within higher level schemes (diagram integration) and in the performance of internal (to F4E staff) and external (to other F4E Suppliers) trainings aimed at improving the use of the requested tools (training).

Fields of expertise

  • Execution of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) with IGE XAO SEE SYSTEM DESIGN
  • Development of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) with IGE XAO SEE SYSTEM DESIGN
  • Performance of the detailed design of cabinets and other analogous electrical componentswith IGE XAO SEE ELECTRICAL EXPERT.

Software expertise required

The contractor shall have acquired its competencies in the previous fields by using the suite of products provided by IGE-XAO, previously mentioned. In particular, the contractor shall have a thorough knowledge of the SEE System Design software, main tool to be used by the Contractor during the implementation of this Framework Contract, in the disciplines of one line, cabling, PFD, P&ID, control systems and wiring diagrams. Additionally, the contractor shall have comparable skills using the SEE Electrical Expert program, whose use will be requested to the Contractor on a less regular basis.

Experience in AVEVA Diagrams would be an asset, though it would not be mandatory.
