We have cooperated in the following two projects:

a)  “Local Integrated Affiliate Program for Women Employment (Vulnerable Groups) in Municipality of St. Demetrios” .

The project is financed by the Greek government and the European Social Fund. ATHENA NGO participates in the project as a member of the Development Partnership “St. Demetrios”. The transnational partner is the Entwicklungspartnerschaft Allgau-Oberland (Germany) and our cooperation focuses on the transfer from Germany of know-how and best practice, in the area of social economy / social enterprises.

b)  “ An Integrated Mentoring Plan for the Local Effective Management of Employment- IMPLEMENT”.

The project was implemented under the Innovative Measures of the Article 6 of the European Social Fund. The objective of the project was to enhance the employability of women, in low and medium- level job positions, through the development and assessment of a system for personal development, based on the Mentoring methods. The transnational partners have been the DEIS-CORK INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (Ireland), the INSTITUT TECHNIK UND BILDUNG , UNIVERSITAET BREMEN (Germany) and the KWONET LTD (UK). The transnational partnership focused on the exchange of experience and know-how in the practice of mentoring.

Both the above partnerships have been a fruitful and remarkably enriching experience, for the projects and for the persons involved.

7.  What are you looking for in a potential partnership this time? Would you be interested in a specific project?

We are looking for the exchange of ideas, experience and know-how and further, for the undertaking of shared actions and activities at transnational level.

We would be interested to implement an idea for the support of the employment of young artists, through the promotion and the commercialization of art products in the field of plastic arts. The group of young artists is of the most affected by the economic crisis and we consider that a project designed especially to support them would help significantly their integration and contribute to the continuity of artistic creation.
