Interview essay
Gary Curcio is a senior at New Jersey Institute of Technology and is pursuing an electrical engineering degree. Presently, he is working on an internship at PSE&G. This is a smart move before applying for a full time job since the student has prior knowledge in a company that specializes in his field of study. Garycan be a resourceful employee. I see that he also worked at Commerce bank and that is good as well.
I found it amusing in how honest the kid was when it comes to extracurricular activities. The kid enjoys everything from baseball, basketball, hanging out with his friends and “partying it up”. The kid is a serious football fan as well. His favorite team is the New York Jets. He’s originally from South Plainfield, New Jersey. He’s obsessed with video games and is up to date with the leading video game console Xbox 360. I personally think that there is nothing wrong about having a little time off as long as it does not affect an employee’s performance at work.
Gary dorms in the college campus and that might give him some responsibility when it deals with learning to become independent. Gary gets a whole lot of activities done at NJIT. In one day he would take his classes, work out, meet girls, and sometimes have parties. This is what I call multitasking. He is half Italian and half Finlandish. Some diversity would be useful in the company as well. I see that he is also taking technical writing as part of his curriculum. It is becoming more and more important to learn how to write and express your ideas clearly and successfully. It is important to be competent in many areas in the company to succeed.
Gary dreams of dating Jessica Alba or Scarlett Johanessen. In my opinion, his dreams will remain dreams but I will surely keep that to myself. However, aside from his fantasies there are goals he is trying to accomplish that really catches my attention. After graduating college, Gary wants to get a great job but he prefers PSE&G and that is wonderful. Gary has experience as an electrical engineer as well. He also noted he would like to have a sports bar and get married some day.
For every life there’s a story and Gary would be likely to have a hell of a story to tell in the future. He is doing the right thing in finishing school and he is making the steps necessary to acquire a job straight out of college. Gary even says, “My life story would sell.”If it does I promise I would buy one but nevertheless, Gary has proven that he can be a great employee and even become an employer in the near future.
