INTERSTATE GANG OF AUTO LIFTERS BUSTED, FIVE VEHICLE RECOVERED– SEVEN CASES WORK OUT

With the arrest of (1) Subhash Singh Rawat @ Pahari, aged 24 S/o of Raje Singh R/o D-221, East Gokul Pur, Delhi, (2) Bittoo Gupta, aged 21 S/o Gopal Gupta R/o H. No. 289, D-Block, Gali No. 8 Meet Nagar, Delhi, (3) Kushank aged 22 S/o Jai Parkash R/o H. No. C-207, Gali No. 7, Ganga Vihar, Delhi, (4) Anand Kumar @ Johni aged 22 S/o Suresh Pal R/o 493, Village Hasan Pur, Boha Pur, PS Indra Puram, Ghazibad, (5) Vivek aged 20 S/o Leela Ram R/o H.No. G-1309, 50Ft. Road Ram Park, Loni, U.P. has busted a Inter-state gang of auto lifters. Seven Cases of M.V. theft of P.S. Bhajan Pura, P.S. M.S. Park, P.S. Vasant Kunj, P.S. Krishna Nagar and P.S. Link Road (Ghaziabad) have been worked out 5 stolen M/Cycles were recovered from their possession and instance.

INCIDENT

To check the increasing incidents of M.V. thefts Anti-auto theft squad of North-East District conducted vehicle checking at the vulnerable points. On 31st March, 2009, secret information was received by that a group of auto-lifters active in the area of Delhi would assemble at Tent Wala School, Zafrabad who might be in the Possession of stolen Motor Cycles. Accordingly a trap was laid near Zafrabad Tent wala School. At about 2:30 P.M. Five Persons riding on Two Motor Cycles came to the bus stand near Zafrabad School. They were apprehended by the police team and were asked to produce the documents of the motor cycles but they could not produce any document related to it. Instead they got petrified, which created suspicion. On sustained questioning, they disclosed that they had stolen the motor cycles from the area of PS Bhajan Pura and PS Vasant Kunj Delhi. On verification both the motor cycles were found to be stolen from the area of PS Bhajan Pura and PS Vasant Kunj Delhi. They were arrested U/S 41.1 (D) CrPC.

INTERROGATION

The identity of the accused persons were revealed as (1) Subhash Singh Rawat @ Pahari, (2) Bittoo Gupta, (3) Kushank (4) Anand Kumar @ Johni (5) Vivek (6) Amit Chauhan @ Kale. On sustained interrogation, Bittoo Gupta disclosed that he used to drive rented TSR to earn his living. He came in contact with one notorious auto lifter Sunil doctor and started committing auto theft to earn quick money. After that he made his own gang and started committing M.V. theft in North-East district and NCR. On their disclosure and instance three other motor cycles were also recovered from their houses. The recovered motor cycles were found to be stolen from the area of P.S. M.S. Park, P.S. Link Road (U.P.), P.S. Krishna Nagar and P.S. Bhajan Pura.

Further investigation/interrogations are in progress and efforts are being made to recover more stolen vehicles.

(1)Subhash Singh Rawat @ Pahari, S/o of Raje Ram R/o D-221, East Gokul Pur, Delhi, is unmarried and studied up to 12th class. He is doing job of insurance advisor in Kotak Life Insurance. He came in contact with Bittoo Gupta and started committing M.V. theft.

(2)Bittoo Gupta, S/o Gopal Gupta R/o H. No. 289, D-Block, Gali No. 8 Meet Nagar, Delhi, is unmarried and studied up to 9th class. Previously, he was driving a rented TSR. He came in contact with notorious auto lifter Sunil @Doctor and started committing M.V. theft to earn quick money.

(3) Anand Kumar @ Johni, S/o Suresh Pal R/o 493, Village Hasan Pur, Boha Pur, PS Indra Puram, Ghazibad, is unmarried and pursuing B.A. (IInd year). He came in contact with Bittoo Gupta and started committing M.V. theft.

(4) Kushank, S/o Jai Parkash R/o H. No. C-207, Gali No. 7, Ganga Vihar, Delhi, is unmarried and studied up to 12th class. He is working as a tailor. He came in contact with Subhash Rawat and started committing M.V. theft.

(5)Vivek, S/o Leela Ram R/o H.No. G-1309, 50Ft. Road Ram Park, Loni, U.P., is unmarried and studied up to 10th class. He came in contact Bittoo Gupta and started committing auto theft.

SHOBHA YATRA ON THE OCCASION OF SHRI RAM JANMOTSAV

Indraprastha Vishwa Hindu Parishad will be taken out annual Shobha Yatra on 3rd April 2009 to celebrate Shri Ram Janmotsav. The route of said Yatra will be as under: -

"START AT 2.30 PM FROM RAMLILA GROUND – ASAF ALI ROAD – DELHI GATE – SUBHASH MARG – RED FORT CHOWK – CHANDNI CHOWK - FATEHPURI – KHARI BAOLI – SADAR BAZAR – PAHARI DHIRAJ – BARA HINDU RAO – FILMISTAN – PRITHVI NATH MARG – RAM VATIKA (AJMAL KHAN PARK) AND TERMINATE AT GANGESHWAR DHAM”

The aforesaid Shobha Yatrawill affect the movement of traffic from 2.00 PM to 10.00 PM along and in the vicinity of the route. At the following places Traffic will be diverted, in consonance with the position of the processions for time required.

Traffic Police has made elaborate arrangements in order to regulate movement of procession and give diversion wherever required so that the road users face minimum inconvenience.

To facilitate movement of processionists, traffic will be stopped/diverted on the above-mentioned route. The public in general and motorists in particular are advised for their own convenience to avoid journeys on the routes of procession and roads leading to the route and follow the diversion given by the Delhi Traffic Police on duty. Commuters are advised to resort to carpooling and to alternatively make use of metro services in order to avoid the roads affected by the movement of the procession in the city.Public cooperation is solicited.
