Brief Description of Organization:

First Place Transition Academy operated by the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center is an intensive and comprehensive community based program. Benefits and outcomes of the program include increases in the following skills: independent living, social, employment, with a decrease in maladaptive skills. Applied behavior analytic teaching strategies are utilized. Teaching occurs within the classroom and the natural environment. Transition Academy Programs are run on the campuses of SARRC, First Place, and various local post-secondary campuses.
