INTERNSHIP (Ethical Money Researcher)

EIRIS is a leading provider of research into the social, environmental and governance (ESG) performance of companies. We work with investors around the world, providing them with the research and services they need to put their own principles into practice when making investment decisions.
We are offering a research internship, available for six weeks, beginning the second week in February/March. The intern will assist with research to assess the ethical performance of the UK 50’s largest banks and buildings societies – the results of which will be used to update information displayed within EIRIS’ consumer website YourEthicalmoney.org
The internship will involve mainly desk/web-based research and limited telephone based research.
We are looking for an intern with the following attributes:
§ Thorough research skills
§ Strong attention to detail / highly accurate worker
§ Drive, energy and initiative
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
§ Well organised, able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
§ Able to follow instructions and be self-motivating
§ A genuine interest in sustainable investment/corporate social responsibility (CSR)
§ Experience of work in the responsible / sustainable investment field will be an advantage

We will provide full training and support, and there will be opportunities to attend EIRIS events and sit in on other aspects of our work. If you have a 2:2 degree or equivalent (ideally in a relevant subject) or relevant work experience and an interest in CSR and ESG issues and would appreciate the chance to gain experience of work in a research organisation, we’d like to hear from you.
The internship is unpaid but EIRIS will reimburse your expenses for travel on public transport between home and work within the Greater London area, and also your midday meal up to a maximum of £5 per day.
EIRIS is located at 80-84 Bondway, London SW8 1SF, close to Vauxhall rail, tube and bus stations.
