International Pastor Ready to Give Up
“I was ready to give up after 20 years of ministry,” says David Youngren, a Swedish born American living in San Diego, California. “Then I discovered the power of love,” he continues, and confidently adds: “It transformed my life, and it will transform you too!”
David Youngren has for the last 30 years spoken to millions of people in over 50 nations. Sharing an inspiring message of hope, David helps people discover the power of unconditional love, and find their true identity in Christ.
After close to 20 years of international ministry, David’s life took a dramatic turn beginning in 2005/06. Plunged into the dark night of the soul – on the brink of financial ruin, plagued by cluster headaches that left him helpless for days, and drowning in self-doubt, David Youngren felt he could not measure up. When a full-blown physical and financial miracle proved that the answers were out there, Youngren began seeking the truth; the answers flowed in and transformed David’s life and his worldview.
David now helps and empowers people around the world to discover the transformative power of love. His message is based on grace, and lifts people to view God, themselves and other people through the lens of the unconditional love of Christ.
Although David’s message in rooted in Christianity, he by no means considers himself religious. “Religion is humanity’s answer to find and know God. It ultimately fails humanity, because intrinsic to almost every religion is a worldview based on good and evil that produces shame, guilt and fear that leads to strife, division and intolerance in this world,” he explains.
“I am not religious, but I am spiritual,” David adds. He believes the highest form of life is based on an unselfish and unconditional love that Jesus demonstrated. “When a person’s heart permeates with a deep awareness of the unconditional love of Christ, and their subconscious is revolutionized with a new sense of identity based on “Christ”, then they overcome insecurities and fears, break through their limitations and unleash the power of love in the world,” David says.
According to Youngren Global Initiative, an organization founded by David Youngren that holds events and produces resources to empower people to live their best life, many people report experiencing drastic personal transformations after attending an event and going through their transformational Amazing Life program.
Success stories on the Youngren website, include testimonies from a pro-athlete, entrepreneurs, pastors and others, who share their stories of transformation. One such story is by a young Dutch woman, Debbie Kaak, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor, but then was healed after going through Youngren’s Amazing Life program that focuses on the love of Christ.
Besides being the founder of Youngren Global Initiative, David is the founder of Juma’s World, a charity that works among orphans in Tanzania, and the founding Pastor of Gracewave church in San Diego, California. Youngren is also the author of books, including his best selling Unravel Love’s Mystery; the producer and creator of films and documentaries, including The Story, The Story Recut & Africa Sing Me Your Song, and has been the host of several TV and radio shows both in the US and Canada.
Before moving to the US in 2005, David Youngren was also the President of Open Bible Faith Fellowship – a ministerial fellowship of 600 churches and ministries in Canada; the President of World Harvest Bible College in Toronto, Canada; the founding Pastor of World Harvest Church.
David Youngren has since 2005 lived with his family in San Diego, California.
