Additional Information:

Please note that we typically recommend exchange students to come in the spring semester. We do this for three reasons:
1. There is more housing available in the spring, so exchange students have a higher probability of receiving a room from us. In the fall we are extremely limited, so there is not always space available.
2. Due to our academic calendar, most exchange students who study here for the fall semester need to leave before exams begin. Fall semester exams here usually begin around January-February, at which point the spring semester in most other countries has already started. We do our best to accommodate them, but this creates many issues which usually do not arise in the spring semester.
3. Students who study at IDC in the spring typically find that there is much more going on around campus. Additionally, there are more holiday breaks in the spring, so students have more individual time to travel around the country.
But of course, we always welcome exchange students to IDC, regardless of which semester they choose to study here.
