POSITION: / FACILITIES MANAGEMENT WORKER – (PART-TIME) ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
LOCATION: / College-Wide (DeKalb and/or Newton Campuses)
DESCRIPTION / This is temporary or hourly paid work performing facilities, materials and equipment services. Part time opportunities become available periodically at various campuses. We accept applications to build a resource pool of qualified part-time workers on a continuous basis. This list does not mean a position is currently available. Your application will be reviewed at the time vacancies occur. Your application is kept active for one year from the date submitted. You will need to reapply after one year
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: / Under minimal supervision, oversees events for the conference center at the college or campus satellite.
·  Excellent Customer Service Skills
·  Set up meetings and rooms for special functions
·  Work diligently to provide the upmost in customer care for our external and internal clients.
·  Work to ensure the proper use of college property
·  Maintain an orderly and clean environment; provide extra added décor to facility
·  May perform light housekeeping duties as needed or requested
·  Answer phones, give tours, respond to questions from potential clients
·  Provide overall support to Conference Center as needed or requested
·  Commit to being a Team Player
·  Is willing to Learn, Grow, Develop to Provide the Best in Customer Care
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: / High School Diploma or GED.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: / High School Diploma or GED is required. Some positions may require additional skills, education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical materials, and/or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and instructional materials; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from students, managers, and the general public; ability to perform basic numeric calculations; ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of both concrete and abstract ideas.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license; maintain automobile insurance coverage; and have access to an automobile due to possible travel to other campuses.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to operate instructional equipment and computers. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee will travel by automobile and be exposed to changing weather conditions. The employee will be required to drive to various instructional facilities

SALARY/BENEFITS / The salary for this position is $10.00 per hour. This position is established for less than 9 months or scheduled for less than 30 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits. Georgia Defined Contributions and taxes will be deducted
