POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: / Community Coordinator/Recruiter (OnE Position) Part-time
PRIMARY LOCATION: / South DeKalb Campus
DESCRIPTION: / The Community Coordinator/Recruiter is responsible for increasing the visibility and effectiveness of Georgia Piedmont Technical College-South DeKalb to the Community. This includes partnering with local high schools and community organizations and associations. This position requires identifying potential prospective students and planning, creating, and implementing the strategies needed to attract and successfully enroll those students. The qualified applicant must have the ability to research, develop, and implement recruitment strategies. This position will require some evening and weekend hours.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: / •  Assists with coordinating campus-wide recruitment efforts
•  Works with Admissions, Registrar, and Academic Deans to organize recruitment plans and strategies
•  Assists with the development of recruitment materials
•  Travels to local high schools and community events to recruit students
•  Maintains prospective/applicant database
•  Stays up to date on college programs of study, admissions, registration, financial aid, counseling processes, and community resources
•  Coordinate student registration activities at on-campus and off-campus locations
•  Acts as a liaison between the college and its various constituencies to enhance the GPTC South DeKalb’s image
•  Partners with operations to disseminate information regarding admissions criteria, scholarships, financial aid, programs of study, etc. advises students in all areas
•  Responsible for general office management and administrative functions for GPTC South DeKalb Partnerships
•  Responsible for specific recruitment efforts and organization of special on-campus projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: / A Bachelor's degree *and* Two (2) years of related work experience.
Note: Experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: / A Bachelor's degree *and* 3-5 years related work experience in higher education. Experience working with enrollment, marketing, or recruiting is preferred.
salary/benefits: / This salary will be based upon education, experience and other qualifications. This is a limited term position based on the needs of the college working 10 to 20 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits. Georgia Defined Contributions, Social Security and taxes will be deducted.
