The Campus Christian Center of Berea College is seeking proposals for trips, experiences, speakers or discussions that will enrich the fabric of interfaith engagement on campus. These proposals will be funded out of a generous grant from the Argosy Foundation, a foundation whose mission “is to support people and programs that make our society a better place to live.” Any student, faculty, or staff may submit a proposal and all events should be open to the whole Berea College Community.
In particular, we hope to support ideas that do one or more of the following:
- Thoughtfully educate our community about non-Christian faiths and culture,
- Create opportunities for dialogue among members of different faiths and communities,
- Provide a chance to visit a an important religious place, event, or community,
- Encourage reflection on the religious history of Berea College and/or Appalachia from new and diverse perspective,
- Use service as a way to build bridges among people of different faiths and cultures, or
- Utilize art (music, visual art, dance, drama, movies, etc.) as a means of dialogue, education, or exposure.
Proposals will be limited to $500 of funding, and should be submitted by Feb. 6th for full consideration. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered only if not all awards have been given out.
For questions, please contact Rev. Ben Groth, Chaplain Intern at .
Using additional space, please answer the following questions and provide the following information:
