Attendance Policy:

In order to be successful in any course, regular attendance in class is required. Any work missed for EXCUSED absences must be made up promptly. You have the number of days absent plus one day to turn in makeup work without penalty. Any work turned in outside of these guidelines is LATE. Alternate assignments MAY be given for labs. Requesting and completion of make-up work is the responsibility of the student. I will NOT come and find you and tell you what you missed.

Late Work Policy:

Students turning in late assignments will receive a percentage deduction in the total points received. ALL MAJOR assignments will receive a 15% grade reduction for each day the assignments is late. ALL DAILY assignments will receive a 50% grade reduction when turned in after the posted due date. Make up assignments due to EXCUSED absence will follow the policy stated above for makeup work. If your assignment is late I will sign and date-stamp it the day you turn it in. You will sign your work acknowledging it is late. No late work will be accepted outside of the grading period in which it was due. THERE ARE NO EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENTS.

Homework:

Homework assignments will be given throughout the week. I will be grading at random and I will often provide the answers during class (or outside of class). It is your responsibility to ask questions if you do not understand a problem.

ALL WORK MUST BE SHOWN TO GET CREDIT FOR A PROBLEM - NO EXCEPTIONS

Projects:

Students will be required to complete some in and out of class projects. Materials for these projects may vary, but are usually not very expensive. If you do not have Internet access at home, please contact me at the beginning of the year so we may make arrangements.
