Integrated Mission System
Private Application Release 4.4
December 10, 2012
The Office of Information Technology is pleased to announce the release of a new reporting software, BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools), in IMS today. This software allow us greater flexibility in our ability to create more useful and feature rich reports. An example of this is the option for reports to render in more than just one format. Users can choose reports to display in PDF, HTML, Excel, or in Word. While reports are viewable in all those formats, the current report layout may not be as useful in anything other than PDF. For this reason, the more popular reports will additionally be released in an Excel only format. This allows us to add more information in each report and not truncating any data. Additionally, this solution allow report processing to run in parallel with the IMS application, which means the IMS user is able to continue using the IMS application while the report is being processed.
The process of converting reports will take some time, but reports will be released as they are created and tested. The following reports are ready for use, right now:
Private Pending Inventory Report: This report has the same layout as the original. The main difference is the choice of "File Format" in the Reports Facility parameter list. Please note that while this report can still take time to run, IMS no longer locks up the screen while the report is being created. A new browser window opens, which you can minimize and continue with your work.
Private Pending Inventory Report (Excel): This report was specifically designed as a spreadsheet. As a spreadsheet, it doesn't have the same restrictions on page width. No data is truncated and new information is included. The new columns are Basis, Issue, Charge Filed Date, Fact Finding Date (the latest H1 action date, prior to the "As of Date"), Onsite Date (the latest H2 action date, prior to the "As of Date"), Conciliation Conference Date (the latest J3 action date, prior to the "As of Date"), 426 days by EOY (populated with a "Y" if the days elapsed since the charge was filed will exceed 425 at the end of the fiscal year), Class Case (displays a "Y" if the processing type includes an "A" or "K"). Please note that, as the paper version of this report, it can take a while to create. There will be two pop-up messages displayed. Press "Open" for the first one and "Yes" for the second one.
Private Resolutions - 1 Line Report: This report has the same design as the original, but can render in multiple formats.
Private Resolutions - Multi Line Report: This report has the same design as the original, but can render in multiple formats.
Private Resolutions Report (Excel):This report was specifically designed as a spreadsheet. It has the same information as the Resolutions Multi Line Report, but no information is truncated. There will be two pop up messages displayed. Press "Open" for the first one and "Yes" for the second one.
Private Inventory Review Report:Since this report has space for supervisors to insert comments, it defaults to Microsoft Word format and can be edited, saved, or printed.
Private Charge Detail Report: This report has the same format as the original and can be run from both the Reports Facility and from various places within IMS.
