INT. Inside the Mothers House – Night
The Mother gets home from work and as she is walking intoher house she is stopped by the mad-scientist who isstanding in front of her. We only get a shadow view of thescientist.
Dr. Evil
Where are the boys?
Mother
You’ll never find them. They are both long gone from here.
Mad-Scientist
When I find them I’m going to give them the same fate that both you and your husband receive.
Mother
Yeah? Good luck with that.
Mad scientist advances towards the mother and movie cuts to the Title.
TEACHER SIDES
INT. CLASSROOM
John is sitting in calculus class bored with his eyes closed as he tries to take a nap. The teacher (is this a different teacher?) notices John and calls him out.
TEACHER
John am I boring you with my class?
JOHN
Not at all. Please continue. (John says without opening his eyes *Change to “without moving” and move to before the line)
Teacher
Then you wouldn’t mind answering the question on the board.
JOHN
(John opens his eyes and looks at the board)
Thats easy. The limit to Cos(x) + Sin (2x) +1/X2-π2 is 1. Next time you make me up from a nap please be teaching at a high school level.
Teacher
Did you just insult my teaching?
JOHN
Well, lets see if you can answer one of my easy questions. Try to find and classify the stationary points of the function f(x,y)=8x3-3x4+48xy-12y2. This feels a little too unprovoked on John’s end. Consider expanding to something like:
JOHN
(Opens his eyes and looks at the board) That’s easy. The limit to Cos(x) + Sin (2x) +1/X2-π2 is 1.
TEACHER
That is...correct.
JOHN
Right. (puts his head back down)
TEACHER
Since you seem to have all the answers, maybe stay awake and bring that participation grade up.
JOHN
(sighs) Sure.
Teacher is still annoyed, and continues.
TEACHER
One correct answer does not an expert make.
JOHN
I said, “sure”.
TEACHER
With an attitude.
JOHN
How about this? Lets see if you can answer one of my questions, and if you can’t, you gimme a break here?
TEACHER
(snorts) Try me.
JOHN
Try to find and classify the stationary points of the function f(x,y)=8x3-3x4+48xy-12y2.
The teacher begins to furiously try and solve the problem. The teacher finally thinks he has the answer.
Teacher
The answer is -5 take that wise guy.
JOHN
(smirking wildly at his victory) Actually the answer is -24. Wake me if there’s a fire drill.
TEACHER
GET OUT OF MY CLASSROOM RIGHT NOW! YOU HAVE DETENTION AFTER SCHOOl!!!
JANE / DANNY SIDES 1
EXT. PARK?, AFTER SCHOOL
Danny and Jane are walking in a park after school ends. Danny is trying to get Jane to be more comfortable with her abilities, but isn't making much progress.
DANNY
Jane listen, you have a great gift. You shouldn't be afraid to use it.
Jane stops walking suddenly and turns to him.
JANE
“A great gift.” Really?
Jane scoffs and begins to walk again.
JANE
You call being suddenly hit with everyone's thoughts, daydreams, memories, or even nightmares a gift? You must get really weird stuff at Christmas.
Danny runs to catch up with Jane.
DANNY
Hey, hey, you're right. And I have no idea what it’s like to experience that. But I do know what it’s like to have powers, and they rock. Look.
Danny demonstrates his powers. Jane is amazed.
JANE
Ok, that is pretty cool. But it still doesn't help me to see how my “gift” is really a gift.
Danny pauses, understanding her words. He has an idea.
DANNY
Let me help you with your powers!
Jane stares at him incredulously, not sure whether to be shocked or confused.
JANE
You! Y-you can move things with your mind, not communicate with it!
DANNY
So you admit that you can communicate through thoughts!
(Beat)
And I didn't hear a no.
Jane stops at that. She tries to think of something to say but comes up short. She relents.
JANE
Fine. Help me.
Danny guides her over to a bench and sits her down.
DANNY
Ok, first lesson young padawan. Clear your mind.
JANE
Are you ki-
DANNY
You said, and I quote, “help me.” This is me helping.
JANE rolls her eyes but lets him continue.
DANNY (CONT’D)
Thank you, now clear your mind and breathe.
(Beat)
Good. Now try to read my mind.
Jane looks up at him and shakes her head. But tries nonetheless.
The world around Jane becomes silent. We start to hear Danny’s voice but it is soon drowned out by many other voices. Jane begins to panic.
Danny notices and starts to calm her down.
DANNY
Hey, hey, hey. Relax ok? You're alright. You just need to relax. Your mind is racing with other peoples' thoughts and memories. Concentrating on just one will help stop the panic attacks.
(A brief pause.)
I think.
JANE
How you do know that it'll stop.
DANNY
I'll be honest, I don't know for sure. But it's worth trying.
(Pause.)
Here, try it with me. Just concentrate on one persons' thoughts. Look for my thoughts in particular.
JANE
(Trying to concentrate.)
I can't. There are too many voices.
DANNY
Yes, you can. Just think if the first time we met. In history class. Sophomore year. The teacher said that stupid joke about Pearl Harbor and if I had a friend named Rafe or something like that.
JANE
It's still getting mixed up with everyone else's thoughts.
(Starts to breathe heavily.)
It's too much. I can't.
(Breathing picks up exponentially.)
DANNY
Jane, it’s okay. Just listen to the sound of my voice. You'll be okay.
(Puts arms around her, similar to a security blanket.)
Jane’s breathing starts to go back to normal.
DANNY
How about we take a break? You can see how I use my telekinesis. And if you figure out how it works, you try yours again.
JANE
I don’t want to try it again.
DANNY
Watch me, OK? See? It’s easy.
Danny demonstrates his powers again. However, Jane closely watches what Danny does when using his powers.
DANNY
Now you try it one more time. Let's start back at the beginning. We know you calm down when you focus on one persons' thoughts. So let's try it again. Only this time I want you to focus on only one voice thinking about one specific thing.
JANE
I can’t do it. You're wrong this isn't a gift it’s a curse.
Jane stands and makes to walk away. Danny stops her.
DANNY
You just need to relax, okay? Forget just trying to read my mind, focus on me.
Jane concentrates by looking into Danny's eyes. She slowly calms down.
DANNY
(After a minute.)
Jane, are you okay?
JANE
Great. I think I figured out a way to order the thoughts into something that be managed.
(Looks away from Danny.)
DANNY
Good. How?
JANE
By looking into their eyes and focusing solely on their voice.
They slowly exchange a look of understanding. Jane smiles.

JANE / DANNY SIDE 2
EXT. PARK
Jane marches through the park angrily, yelling at Danny, who is following her.
JANE
I can’t believe you told her. I trusted you and what do you do? You blab about me and my powers to all your friends.
Jane stops short and turns on Danny.
JANE (CONT’D)
You know, I should have seen this. I’m another little lost cause for you to go and help. Well guess what, you didn't! I still can’t fully control my powers. And do you know why?
(Beat)
BECAUSE THESE POWERS AREN’T A GIFT THEIR A CURSE!
Danny’s had enough of Jane yelling at him. So he yells back. <- Remove. Simply state under “DANNY”, “yells back”.
DANNY
Yeah, well I can’t believe that you still don't understand. These abilities do seem horrible at first. I’ve been there. But everything has an upside. And it’s about time someone told you this.
Danny stops for a second to consider his words.
DANNY (CONT’D)
Yeah, the world isn’t always the best. And sometimes we all get dealt a bad hand. Your anxiety is your bad hand. But everyone else has problems too. <- Maybe add something like, “I know; you’re not used to people challenging you. But you know what, Jane? I think you’re stronger than you think you are. So suck it up. You're not the only person here who struggles with what they can do. You need to fight your battles for once now, not run away from them.
Danny walks away, leaving Jane speechless. This wasn’t how she expected the conversation to go.

DR. EVIL SIDES
INT. ? <- Need location and time of day
Zoe walks into the room as her phone rings. She looks at it and sees it’s HIM (we know who he is; it can just say Mad Scientist - who should probably have a name as well). She visibly gulps then answers.
ZOE
Hello.
CALLER
Hello Zoe. How are we doing?
Zoe stiffens, unsure how to best tell about the little progress she’s made.
ZOE
Alright. It’s a bit more difficult than I first thought. My abilities don’t seem to work on John.
CALLER
That is interesting, although expected if he is the one with enhanced intelligence. What about the other one, Liam?
ZOE
I don’t know, I haven’t been able to test on him yet.
Zoe braces for the yelling about to be thrown her way, but it doesn't come. Instead the caller answers very calmly.
CALLER
Well then, that is very disappointing. Do I need to remind you of how important this is?
Zoe straightens.
ZOE
No.
CALLER
Then don’t fail me and get this done. One of them must kill the other, and soon!
The calls ends abruptly, leaving Zoe shaken. She pushes this away though, and walks out of the room to continue the mission.

ZOE SIDE 1 / RACHEL SIDE 1
INT. HALLWAY
Zoe sees Liam in the hallway as he comes out of gym class. Zoe takes this as her opportunity to talk to Liam and see if her manipulation works on him. <- Would take our everything from “Zoe takes this opportunity...” and change to something like, “Zoe tosses her hair and turns on her smile”.
ZOE
Hey Liam, wait up! <- Would remove and let him start talking
LIAM
Hey Zoe, whats up?
ZOE
I just need to ask you something. <- Would change to something like “Hey Liam. Wow. I couldn’t tell you were such a beast underneath that school uniform.
LIAM
(visibly uncomfortable)
Um... Thanks, I think.
ZOE
Everyone at school keeps talking about how you broke the (insert event that got him detention). You must be as strong as you look.
LIAM
Yeah, I guess... (tries to go politely)
ZOE
(follows)
A girl could use a strong guy around.
LIAM
Yeah, you need a (insert detention event) broken, I’m your dude.
ZOE
So, why don’t you show me how strong you are?
LIAM
How am I going to do that?
ZOE
(Zoe touches Liams arm) <- Remove - shouldn’t her powers work here?
Why don’t you flex for me?
LIAM
(smiles awkwardly, moves away and covers arms with his hands self-consciously)
What are you crazy? No.
ZOE
Oh come on, lets see how strong you really are.
LIAM
Zoe I really don’t want to.
ZOE
What? Are you embarrassed or something? It’s no big deal, Liam.
(touches his arm)
Please, just flex for me real quick.
LIAM
OKAY <- Remove line
Rachel is in the distance watching as the scene unfolds. Rachel is getting furious as she sees Liam flex. Once Zoe walks away from the scene Rachel walks up to a dumfounded Liam. <- Change to something like, “Zoe smiles and walks away, leaving Liam dumbfounded. He spots Rachel watching. She turns and walks in the other direction. Liam chases after her.
LIAM
Rachel, wait! That wasn’t what it looked like!
RACHEL
Oh, good. Because it looked like your were showing off for the new girl. Way to make her feel welcome, Liam.
LIAM
That’s not it.
RACHEL
OK, then what was that?
LIAM
I don’t know!
RACHEL
Do NOT play dumb with me. Why where you flexing for Zoe?
LIAM
I don’t know! I didn’t want to. She kept asking me to and... it was like I couldn’t stop myself from listening to her.
RACHEL
You have got to be kidding me. She asked you to flex and you just did it!? Gosh, are all guys so vain?
LIAM
You know that’s not me. I’m sorry. I really don’t know what happened. It was like I couldn’t control myself.
RACHEL
This is the only time I let something like this pass okay. <- Not enough to let her be done with it. She should stew a bit more. Something like, “I don’t know, Liam. This is weird, but then again, you just found out you have a long-lost twin, so it’s a weird week. (pause) The next time I see something like this, we’re done. Got it?
LIAM
Thank you.
Rachel beings to think about what she witnessed and what Liam told her.

ZOE SIDE 2
INT. Outside of John’s House – Day – Late Afternoon
Zoe
Hey John can I talk to you for a minute?
John
What do you want?
Zoe
I need to talk to you about something.
John
What do you have to say that will interest me?
Zoe
Your past.
John
And what do you know about my past?
Zoe
I will tell you if you can quit being so arrogant for a second.
John
Go on.
Zoe
Your parents were a part of an experiment conducted by this scientist called “” that gave them special abilities. They were told to have children so that they could also inherit these abilities. Obviously the experiment worked. But the parents grew attached you and Liam. In order to get you both he killed your mother and father. But before he killed your mother, she gave you up for adoption, which explains why you were separated from each other.
John
Okay. How do you know all this and why are you telling me this now?
Zoe
Because I work for the scientist. I also have special abilities.
John
What can you do? Fly?
Zoe
No, I can manipulate people by touching them.
John
Seems boring.
ZOE
Its actually quite effective, usually.
JOHN
Anyway, why are you telling me all this now?
Zoe
Because the scientist wants to recreate this experiment and wants me to get married to either you or your brother.
JOHN
Yeah, that’s gonna happen.
ZOE
Not now. Eventually.
JOHN
So, why don’t you just manipulate one of us into marrying you?
Zoe
Well, for some reason - my guess is your enhanced intelligence - you seem resistant to mental attacks. I can’t manipulate you, John.
JOHN
I guess you’re stuck with Liam, then.
ZOE
If I had to be... but if I get a choice, I choose you.
JOHN
You must be an idiot. Every girl on earth wants a boyfriend they can control. You can actually have that and you toss it back?
ZOE
What can I say? Maybe it’s one of those, “we want what we can’t have” things. Or maybe I just want something in my life to be real. Maybe you do, too.
John
“Undercover psychic” isn’t really my type.
ZOE
Look, we can keep going round and round like this, or we can step up. There’s been something between us since day one. You may know everything, John, but I know that. (advances towards him) Go ahead. Tell me I’m wrong.
JOHN
(considers her) Teen romance is for the CW.
ZOE
I guess you can call me your “guilty pleasure” then.
JOHN
Even if I were interested, I’m not so sure I want to get involved with someone working for the guy that killed my parents and separated me and my brother.
Zoe
Well, that’s where this gets tricky. Look if we were to be together you have to do one thing.
John
And what’s that?
Zoe
You have to kill Liam.
John
What! Why?
Zoe
You and Liam are technically not brothers.
John
What are you talking about?
Zoe
Only one of you was born from your mother and father and inherited both powers. But the scientist wanted two children to have these abilities, so he decided to clone the child. Although the clone process did work, it gave one set of powers to one brother and the other set to the other. You have the brains, and he has the brawn, but it wasn’t supposed to be that way. One of you should have it all.
John
So I could be a clone?
Zoe
Possibly.
John
Even if I’m a clone I’m still not going to kill John.
