Insurance Professionals of Greater Orlando
General Meeting
Date: February 19, 2011
Place: Deer Run County Club, Casselberry, Florida
President Mindy Bander Habib, CPII, PIAM, ACSR, CPIW called the meeting to order at 11:45 PM.
Madam Habib appointed Betty Ribeiro, CPII, PIAM, ACSR, CPIW as secretary of the meeting pro tem.
The Pledge of Allegiance and the NAIW Collect were read.
Madam Habib introduced the following guests:

Frances Hitchcock – IPOGO Treasurer & Florida Council Membership Liaison
Betty Ribeiro – Florida Council Fund Raising Liaison

Glenda Griffin Florida Council Director reported on communication from Margaret Wildi NAIW International presidents monthly meetings with presidents, council directors and regional vice presidents told us we could go in to the National website and listen to the chats. NAIW International is reaching out to each and every member to help grow this association. She touched on the name change that will be going to vote at the Regional levels. If it passes, it will go to the National Convention for a vote.
Glenda also gave an update on Margie Bear. Many of the restoration companies with which we do business have stepped in to assist with the renovations needed to Margie’s condo to make it handicap assessable for when she is released from rehab. She is waiting for her prosthesis and continues with rehab twice daily. If possible she will be attending the Region III Conference in Montgomery.
President Habib presented our IPOGO’s history and turned the meeting over the Jeanette Gonsalves to introduce our past presidents in attendance.

We had the gift exchange; 50/50 and door prizes
A thank you to Jeanette Gonsalves and her committee for a job well done.
The next regular meeting is on Wednesday March 16, 2011 at the Hilton/Orlando in Altamonte Springs. The next board meeting will be March 7, 2011 at CNA Maitland, FL.
