JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE Staff Pianist
REPORTS TO: Chair of Music Department
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Perform as collaborative pianist for students, faculty and guest artists
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Work with students in the preparation and performance of recital programs (including coaching students)
2. Learn required repertoire
3. Arrange rehearsal and performance dates and times with students and department calendar
4. Perform other duties as necessary. Such duties may include assisting students in finding a pianist, play auditions for prospective students and faculty candidates, perform with students in master classes, provide accompanists used in courses, accompany students in competitions and juries, introduce students to repertoire, write letters of recommendation for students, work with occasional music department committees, prepare own repertoire record as well as department repertoire record
