Click on the icon that lets you hear each instrument used to represent the characters in the story. Click on the following to see what instrument is used to represent each character:

Peter (strings)

Do the same for The Cat (clarinet),

The Duck (oboe)

The Bird (flute)

Grandpa (bassoon)

The Hunters (rifles are the tympani)

The Wolf (french horn)

In the symphony these instruments will represent characters.

You will be watching a video of "Peter and the Wolf" in which the symphony is "acted out" but in the real symphony they would have to use their imaginations to "see" the story as it is told by the narrator and by the instruments.

Now that you have completed the assignment, you may explore these websites.
