Instruction for the Use of Online Accommodation Application System for 2016 XMU International Students
Congratulations on your admission to Xiamen University! Please use the “Apartment System of Xiamen University” to apply your accommodation online. Please read following notifications.
- Applicants
(1) If you are an international student on Xiang’an Campus, where the School of Life Sciences, the College of Energy andSchool of Energy Research, the Medical College, the Overseas Education College, the College of Ocean and Earth Sciences, the Coastal and Ocean Management Institute, the College of the Environment andEcology, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the School of Public Health locate, you don’t need to apply online because your dorm will be arranged directly after your registration.
(2) If you are an international student on Siming campus, where colleges and schools other than those in item (1) locate, you should apply online.
- Application Time
August 15th to September 15th, 2016 (from 9:00 a.m. to 5: 00 p.m. everyday).
- Application Procedure
(1)Please log in the“Apartment System of Xiamen University” (http:/gongyu.xmu.edu.cn). Your account and initial password are your serial number and 000000, respectively. The application system is supported by only severalbrowsers, please ensure that you use one of the following browsers: Google Chrome, Sougou Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
(2)Steps: Click on “Personal information”----click on “edit” to complete your personal information-----click on “I am a new student”----click on “Apply for Dormitory”
(3)If there occurs web browsing problems, please try another browser or re-log in the system. If your application failed, you can go to the Student Dormitory Administration Office to ask for help either by calling or visiting us.
(4)Once you have confirmed your application, you won’t be able to modify it in the online system before your registration.
- Time for Query of the Application
September 20th, 2016 (undetermined, please follow the information from “Apartment System of Xiamen University”)
- If you don’t check in before December 8th, 2016, the bedspace you applied for will be taken back by the Student Dormitory Administration Office, and you won’t be allowed to apply for another one in this semester.
- Accommodation Fees and Check-in
(1)If you are a scholarship student, you don’t need to pay the accommodation fee. Please bring your passport and letter of admission to the International Student Apartment (including Nanguang 4, Nanguang 5, and CaiqingjieBuilding) to check in.
(2)If you are a self-supporting student, you should go to Student Dormitory Administration Office to pay the accommodation fee with your passport and letter of admission. After your payment, you can go ahead to International Student Apartment (including Nanguang 4, Nanguang 5, and Caiqingjie Building) to check in.
