The SOPHIE Protocol will run and you will be presented with a series of questions as well as information present within the clinical record (if found):

Each question that is displayed will give either choices to select from (as in the example above) or request yes/no responses, values or other information.

In the example above the patient has previously had a DNA recorded and the user is asked whether they wish to update this.

  • By Selecting Yes the appropriate code is marked for insertion into the clinical record and the user is asked for any Free Text to be linked to this entry

  • Type any Free Text and Click OK to Continue

In this example the patient has no recorded diagnosis of Asthma so you are given information regarding this

  • Select OK to continue

In the above example you will be asked to continue with an undiagnosed patient.

You are asked to record the date of the consultation. This will ensure all entries are recorded under the correct date.

  • Type Date of Consultation and press Enter

You are prompted for Type of Review

  • Select Review from picking list provided

Note you may have to use the arrow keys to select the appropriate response

The synergy Sophie also uses the form questions

The above is for example purposes only and the questions displayed will differ dependent on the information already recorded in the patient record

At the end of the Sophie you are presented with the following message

By default ‘Insert Notes’ is checked which will insert the notes recorded during the Sophie protocol into the Patient record.

The Sophie has an advice sheet configured which will print the previous information and the information collected today onto an A4 sheet for reference if required. To print this check the radio button ‘Print Advice Sheet to’ and select Windows Default from the list provided.

The notes will be saved and the advice sheet printed to the default printer

Example Advice sheet Text:

The information recorded into the patient record is entered under a Current Problem Heading of ‘Respiratory disease monitoring’ using the code 663..

All the other codes entered from the SOPHIE protocol conforms to the Read Code list provided by Apollo.
