INSTALLING JAVA SE FOR GCM WEBEHR

To download Java SE, go to At top right, click “Java SE 8 Update 111/112”. NOTE: UPDATE VERSION MAY CHANGE. INSTALL THE VERSION THAT STARTS WITH “JAVA SE 8” AND ENDS WITH THE NUMBER “2”.

Under JDK, click “Download”.

Under “Java SE Development Kit 8u102”, click the radio button for “Accept License Agreement”, and to the right of “Windows x86”, click “jdk-8u102-windows-i586.exe”.

Click “Save”.

When the download is complete, close all browser windows, navigate to your Downloads folder, and double-click jdk-8u112-windows-i586.exe to run it.

When you see “Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?”, click “Yes”.

When you see “Welcome to the Installation Wizard”, click “Next”.

When you see “Select optional features”, click “Next”.

When you see a green bar moving across the screen, wait.

When you see “Click Change to install Java to a different folder”, click “Next”.

When you see “3 Billion Devices Run Java”, wait.

When you see “Java SE Development Kit 8 Update 102 Successfully Installed”, click “Close”.

To confirm that the installation was successful, click Start, click “Control Panel”, and click “Programs and Features”. You should see “Java 8 Update 102” and “Java SE Development Kit 8 Update 112”.

Navigate to the Control Panel and click “Java (32-bit)”. (Or you can navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_112\bin\ and run “javacpl.exe”)

When the “Java Control Panel” opens, click the “Java” tab.

Click “View”.

Make sure you see “1.8.0_102” under “Product”. Make sureyou see a checkmark under “Enabled”. Click “OK”.

Click the “Security” tab.

Make sure that “Enable Java content in the browser” is checkmarked. Make sure that the radio button for “High” is selected. Click “Edit Site List”.

Click “Add”.

Type and click “Add”.

Type and click “Add”.

Click “OK”.

Make sure you see 2 “chartconnect” web addresses under “Exception Site List”. Click the “Advanced” tab.

Under “Debugging” checkmark “Show applet lifestyle exceptions”. Click “OK”.

Java SE configuration is complete. Go to your desktop, right-click in a blank area, click “New”, and click “Shortcut”.

Type and click “Next”.

Type “CGM webEHR” and click “Finish”.

You should see a “CGM webEHR” shortcut on your desktop.
