Description:This COP file addresses defect CSCuy00023.This updates the SELinuxpolicies on the server.

Introduction:This release note contains important information about installation procedure for theciscocm.cuc_upgrade_10.5.2su3.cop.sgn for Cisco Unity Connection.This COP provides the fix for defect CSCuy00023.It is required for successful upgrade to 10.5.2 SU3 release.

InstallationInstructions:COP installation process:

1)Disable SELinux on server or, use utilsos secure permissive CLI for this.

2)Perform upgrade and switch version on Cisco Unity Connection server. In case of cluster, COP should be installed on both the servers.

Note:

  1. As with any installation or upgrade, it is recommended to apply this update during off peakhours.
  2. No system reboot or service restart is required after installing this patch.

This patch canbeinstalledfromalocal source(DVD)or remotesource(SFTPSERVER).

Caution: Make sure to back up system data before starting the software upgrade process. For more information, see the Disaster Recovery System Administration Guide.

Step 2:Copythe upgradefile abovetoawriteableCDorDVD.

Step 3:InserttheCDorDVDinto thedisc driveonthelocalserveronwhichpatchneedtobeinstalled.

Step4:OpenCiscoUnifiedCommunicationsOperatingSystemAdministrationdirectlybyenteringthefollowingURL: whereserver-nameisthe hostnameorIPaddressofthe server.

Step 5:EnterOS Administrator usernameandpassword.

Step 6:ChooseSoftwareUpgradesInstall/Upgrade.

Step 7:For thesoftwarelocationsource,chooseDVD/CD.

Step 8:If patch fileisburnedtoasubdirectoryontheCDorDVD,enterthepathinthedirectoryfield.

Step 9:Tocontinuetheupgradeprocess,clicknext.

Step 10:Chooseciscocm.cuc_upgrade_10.5.2su3.cop.sgnandclicknext.

Step11:Inthenextwindow,monitortheprogressofthedownload,whichincludesthefilenameand the numberof megabytesthatis gettingtransferred.

Step 13:AWarningwindowdisplaysthe selectedoption, clickInstall.

Step 7:Enterthedirectory nameforthe softwareupgrade,if required.If the upgradefileis locatedona Linuxor UNIXserver, then entera forwardslashatthebeginningofthedirectorypath. Forexample,if theupgradefileisinthepatchesdirectory, enter/patches.IftheupgradefileislocatedonaWindowsserver,checkwithsystemadministratorforthecorrect directorypath.

Step 8:Entertherequiredupgradeinformationasdescribed inthefollowingtable:

RemoteServer:HostnameorIPaddressoftheremoteserverfromwhichsoftwarewillbe downloaded.

RemoteUser:Enteradminuseridofremoteserver.

RemotePassword:Enterpasswordofadminuserremoteserver. DownloadProtocol:ChooseSFTPorftp.

Step 9:Tocontinuetheupgradeprocess,clicknext.

Step 10:Chooseciscocm.cuc_upgrade_10.5.2su3.cop.sgnand clicknext.

Step11:Inthenextwindow,monitortheprogressofthedownload,whichincludesthefilenameand the numberofmegabytesthatare gettingtransferred.

Step 13:Whenthe downloadcompletes,clicknexttoproceed withthe softwareupgrade. A Warningwindowdisplays theselectedoption.

Step 14:ClickInstall.

Step 15:Whenthe installationcompletes, clickFinish
