THE COMMUNITY

THE COMMUNITY AS GOD’S PRIMARY FOCUS OF WHERE GOD HAS PLACED US TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

  • Acts 1:8 NASB but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."
  • 1 Thessalonians 2:8 NLT We loved you so much that we gave you not only God's Good News but our own lives, too.

OUR COMMUNITY IN COMMUNITY

EVERY PERSON DESERVES TO BE SHEPHERDED, AND THIS HAPPENS IN A LIFE GROUP. GOD HAS CALLED US TO FUNCTION AS ONE BODY FOR MUTUAL BENEFIT.

  • 1 John 3:16 NIV This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

JUSTICE

JUSTICE FOR ALL PEOPLE. THIS MEANS WE MUST FOSTER A SPIRIT OF RECONCILLIATION AND ADVOCATE, ESPECIALLY, FOR CHILDREN, WIDOWS, PRODIGALS, AND THE HOMELESS.

  • Isaiah 1:17 NIV learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.
  • Jeremiah 7:5-7 NIV 5 If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, 6 if you do not oppress the alien, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, 7 then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your forefathers for ever and ever.
  • Jeremiah 22:3 NIV 3 This is what the LORD says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place.
  • James 1:27 NASB Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

PRAYER

PRAYER HAS THE POWER TO CHANGE THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT.

GOD’S PEOPLE

GOD’S PEOPLE, EACH EMPOWERED AND PARTNERED WITH OTHERS TO LIVE AND SERVE IN THE UNIQUE WAY GOD HAS GIFTED THEM.
