A (specific area schoolboy/teen/mum/dad etc) is turning heads with his/her new look after becoming a “life-shaver” for CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people and their families.

(Insert your name) braved the clippers as part of the charity’s Big Buzz Campaign, which encourages people to shave their heads to support children and young people with cancer, many of whom lose their hair during treatment.

The sponsored head shave was held in (insert name of salon/location of head shave) on (date),watched and encouraged by (key spectators eg nervous mum/cheering family, excited friends).

“But it was all worth it as I’ve raised about £XXX for CLIC Sargent. I was keen to support the charity because (insert reason you had your head shaved eg it’s a fantastic cause, personally affected by childhood cancer/know someone supported by the charity).”

Anna Penwarden, The Big Buzz event manager, said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to (insert your name) for becoming a ‘life-shaver’ for CLIC Sargent. I think the finished result looks amazing!

“Every day ten children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. Many will lose their hair during treatment and our Big Buzz campaign gives you the chance to show support for them by shaving your head and raising money for CLIC Sargent.

“At the moment we can only help two out of three children and young people diagnosed with cancer. We want to reach as many as possible and with your support we can do this.”
