Do you remember how we all agreed to focus on improving the customer experience this year? Well, I think I just figured out a way to significantly accelerate that effort. I was just reading about the Advocamp conference taking place in San Francisco on March 7 9, 2016, and based on the content and reviews I’ve seen, we definitely need to send someone. Namely, me :) So I’m formally writing to get your approval to attend.

Here’s why: Advocamp is a global business gathering focused on one transformational idea: that the future belongs to companies like us that develop and mobilize advocates as their primary goal. Now that’s a big idea! This conference isn’t just about customer satisfaction or customer engagement. It’s about creating a customer experience that is so delightful, your customers will willingly promote your brand on the Web and in person. That’s advocacy, and Advocamp will explore new models of customer

engagement aimed at creating it. In addition, I’ll get to:

• Network with 1,000 business leaders who are also implementing customer experience, engagement and advocacy strategies at their companies.

• Learn from 50+ speakers - all thought leaders and practitioners who will be sharing

their ideas and expertise in short, TED Talk-style sessions.

• Join hands-on workshops where I can become a stronger power user of, and develop better strategies for, technologies such as Influitive’s AdvocateHub.

Here’s an outline of the needed investment:

• Airfare: $600

• Transportation (between airport and hotel): $100

• Hotel: (2 nights at $299) $598

• Registration Fee: $1,299 ($799 early bird)

I can commit to submitting a post-conference report that will include an executive summary, major takeaways, tips, and a set of recommendations to maximize the return on our current investments. I can also share relevant information with key personnel throughout the company.
