  1. How will the Local Food Fellowship contribute to your personal and professional goals?

  1. Please describe your experience with sustainable agriculture, gardening, and greenhouse management. Be as specific as possible, including work experiences, growing techniques you are familiar with, classes, and trainings.
  1. List three components of the local food system that you would like to work on as a local food fellow and describe the reasons for your choices
  1. This fellowship requires a lot of self-directed learning and project management without much oversight. Please describe how you will approach this fellowship to be successful. Do you have any examples when you had to work independently on a big project?
  1. Describe any experience you have had with planning and implementing education programs, workshops, or trainings
  1. How would you approach engaging people in issues surrounding production, distribution, and consumption of healthy, affordable, culturally-appropriate, sustainably-grown food for our community?
  1. Are you able to commit to the part-time (about 20 hours a week) work from May – August and 1-5 hours from March 14th-May 2016 and September-December 16thr, 2015? Do you have any other jobs or plans during the summer?
  1. Our ideal Local Food Fellow will continue as a member of the EC’s Local Food Security Team until the end of the next academic year. Are you interested in this opportunity? Do you qualify for Work Study funding as part of your Financial Aid package?
  1. There are two Local Food Fellows each year who work together closely to monitor and care for the garden, greenhouse, and orchard. Describe your approach to working in teams. What role do you take on?
