1.From main WCS menu select 5. Contract and Estimates and ENTER
2.Select 1. Contract and Estimates and ENTER
3.Select 4. Add/Modify Contract Estimates Types 3 to 6 (WD04PU) and ENTER:
Step 1: / WCS No and ENTERStep 2: / Next-in-line Estimate type/no and ENTER
Step 3: / Change Contract descriptions if required and TAB
Step 4: / Revise Contract time if required and TAB (Contract time to include 35 days for submission and acceptance of sureties and handing over of site)
Step 5: / Revise Contract type if required and TAB
Step 6: / Estimate date (JJJJ/MM/DD)
Step 7: / Project to (tender) date (JJJJ/MM/DD)
Step 8: / Any short description, e.g. Erection/Repairs and Renovations.Etc. and TAB
Step 9: / Value of building work and TAB
Step 10*: / * for automatic calculation of VAT and TAB
Step 11: / Distribution code: The first field defaulted to 01. The other four fields will accept any of the following codes:
02= / Adjustment (In case of too high estimate, adjustment is the theoretical amount the estimate must be cut with to bring it inline with accepted limits
03= / CPAP (Contract Price Adjustment Provisions), If * is entered in amount column, CPAP is automatically calculated.
04= / Incidental expenditure (Default = R100 000)
05= / Building work (if field 01 was used for something else)
06= / Electrical work
07= / Mechanical work
08= / Civil work
09= / Sundry
11= / Training
Step 12: / If description is that of values 02 - 09, the system will default to description, TAB
Step 13: / Value of work for particular field, TAB
Step 14*: / * for automatic calculation of VAT
Step 15: / ENTER ® RECORD(S) SUCCESSFULLY PROCESSED
4.Enter F2 to return to Contract and Estimates Menu:
Step 1: / Select 1 Add/Update: Estimates and ENTERStep 2: / As WCS No and Estimate type already on WCS, ENTER
Step 3: / If estimate date correct, TAB
Step 4: / Cost Limit Y/N, TAB
Step 5: / Enter cost limit amount, TAB
Step 6: / Enter Building estimate (PQS fee purposes) - 80% of Building work excl VAT, CPAP,TAB
Step 7: / Space limit Y/N, TAB and
Step 8: / Building estimate date (JJJJ/MM/DD)
Step 9: / Estimate complete Y, ENTER
Estimate now ready to be accepted by financial/budget section and must be submitted as such to them.
