Summary:

The paper provides an overview of AGRI VET flexible rural micro-entrepreneurship and self-employment support modules. Drive toward “locality”, bio-production, SFSC, rural tourism and further niche services etc. requires peculiar and cross-cutting skills and inspirations, ideas, business acumen, local knowledge, know-how and support on access to finance, regulatory frameworks, certification, networks already operating in the area, excellent soft skills and self-learning abilities, including languages. Disused modules and open schemes operate similar to the rural micro-business labs or incubators: the students are taught how to launch own business, produce, sell and strive in conditions of competitive customer market. Emphasis being put a growing niche emerging market of individual and B2B oriented rural services and low starting capital mixed services-production formulas e.g. gourmand & DIY, gardening classes, biodiversity & adventure & heritage & culinary tourism, kids or corporate events or customized bio/agri machinery adjustment and maintenance services.
