Facilities:
Innisfail Aquatic Center, 5117 – 42 Street, Innisfail, Alberta (403) 227-2924
- 6 lane, 25M pool.
- An outdoor park will be available for the swimmers as a day area. There is not enough room in the pool to accommodate all swimmers. Please come prepared to spend the day outside. Bring your own tent!!
- PLEASE ensure your area is kept clean and your swimmers are supervised.
- NO CONCESSION WILL BE AVAILABLE.
- The spray park will be on at the back of the pool.
Rules:
- The Meet Manager has the right to alter, revise or cancel events to ensure the meet runs efficiently.
- The relay events will run only if time permits.
- All events will be timed finals.
- No false starts.
- All swimmers must be registered with ASSA and follow rules laid out in ASSA Rules and Regulations.
- SNC rule book will be in effect. ASSA and CSSA rules are in effect.
Entry Fees:
- $20.00 per swimmer
- Pay by 8:00 am Saturday, June 29, 2013 to the Clerk of Course.
- Please make cheques payable to Innisfail Dolphins Swim Club.
Warm Ups:
- Warm up lanes will be assigned, they will be determined by team entries. Lane assignments will be posted at the pool and will be posted, June 26, 2013, on our website
- Warm up period is 25 minutes. Please be courteous and abide by this time.
- The last 8 minutes of warm up will be dive starts in all 6 lanes.
- Coaches are responsible for supervising their swimmers during the warm up time.
- ASSA warm up rules will be adhered to.
Meet Entries:
- Submit your meet entries and relay entriesthrough the ASSA web site.
- Deadline for meet entries and relay entries:Tuesday, June 25, 2013,9:00 PM.
- Please provide a contact name and phone number with your meet entries.
- All entries must have an official entry time or no time.
- Each swimmer may participate in 4 (four) individual events and2 (two) relay events.
- For 6 & U swimmers to qualify for any 6 & U 50 meters events being offered at our swim meet they must have a qualifying time of 45 seconds or less in the corresponding 25 meter stroke.
- Swimmers may enter distance events if they meet the age restrictions and qualifying times set out by ASSA.
- E-mailed scratches are welcome any time at Please make every effort to scratch BEFORE the meet starts.
- To qualify for a entry fee refund scratches must be submitted by Wednesday, June 26, 2013, 7:00 pm.
- Last scratches due by: 5:50 pm June 28th for Friday events and 7:45 am June 29th for Saturday events.
- Heat Sheets for coaches & officials will be created after your scratches are in.
- Relay changes due by: 10:00 AM Saturday. Use the form provided in the coach’s package.
- Events will be swum from slowest to fastest. Swimmers with no time will be seeded in the slowest heats. Exhibition swimmers will be allowed to swim and will be seeded in the first heat of their chosen events. **Clearly mark all exhibition swimmers as such when registering or they will not be allowed to swim**
- Master swimmers will be senior seeded. Unattached and out of region master swimmers may not attend our swim meet.
- DECK ENTRIES are at the Meet Manager's discretion and will be DOUBLE the entry fee. The swimmer will be entered as an exhibition swimmer. Entries will be seeded into empty lanes in existing heats.
- Senior Seeding will be used for this swim meet
Coaches Notes:
- Coaches Meeting(Party Room): Friday 5:15 pm and Saturday 7:00 am
- Coaches are responsible for getting their swimmers to report to the marshalling area when their event is called. Due to the swimmers being outside prior to their events, we suggest that each club have a person in charge of making sure their teams athletes arrive at the marshalling area on time.
- Please instruct your swimmers to stay in the water until the next heat has started.
- If coaches anticipate that a Provincial Record may be set, please inform the Meet Manager at least 1 hour in advance of the event. We will then ensure we have certified officials in the swimmers lane.
- Lap Counter booklets will be supplied by our club for the 800 m and 1500 m Freestyle events.
- Drinks, snacks and lunch will be provided for all coaches.
Officials:
- Officials will be required. We ask that each club supply officials proportionate to the number of swimmers attending. NEW You may sign up online through ASSA
- Please e-mail the meet manager at with your list of volunteers by June 27, 2013. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
- Officials meeting(Party Room): Friday 5:45 pm and Saturday 7:45 am
- Drinks, snacks and lunch will be provided for all officials. There will be no designated lunch break. Afternoon officials will have lunch and then take over for morning officials. Morning officials are welcome to have lunch once their replacement arrives.
Heat Sheets:
- Heat sheets will NOT be available for sale.

- Heat sheets will be posted on our website Thursday, June 27th by 7:00 pm.
- Heat sheets are subject to change. Current heat sheets will be posted at the pool.
Appeals:
- Only coaches may lodge a protest or address issues with the officials or the meet manager.
- Please speak first with the Referee, as this often makes a written appeal unnecessary.
- Protests must be submitted in writing to the Meet Referee within 30 minutes following the event.
- The protest must include the swimmers name, club name, event and heat number, a description of the incident and the reason for the protest.
- A $50.00 fee is required to accompany any written appeal and will be refunded if the protest is upheld. Please make the cheque payable to the Innisfail Dolphins Swim Club.
Awards and Scoring:
- Scores and results will be generated by the ASSA Hytek Program.
- The top three male and top three female swimmers belonging to each ASSA age group who accumulated the most points based on their individual event swims shall receive a Gold (1st Place), Silver (2nd Place), and Bronze (3rd Place) medals.
- Ribbons are awarded for 1stto 6th place for individual events and relay events.

- The team with the most points wins our swim meet. They will have their team's name engraved on our Innisfail Dolphins Swim Meet Trophy and displayed in our trophy case.
- Medals and ribbons will be placed in your Club's envelope and will be given to coaches or brought to the next Region D swim meet and given to coaches. If your club is not in Region D, please make arrangements with the meet manager to have your envelope sent to you.

- In the event that there are no campsites available at Anthony Henday Campground, the Town of Innisfail has graciously allowed an overflow camping option. Overflow camping is located southwest and west of the Aquatic Centre. Tenting is allowed in the designated tenting area. Campers must adhere to the Town Bylaws including no open fires and appropriate noise levels. The Town of Innisfail will be monitoring this area very closely. Please see the attached map for parking and tenting areas. If you have any questions please contact the meet manager.
