Salary: £20k during probationary period, rising to £24k

This full time, home-based post requires a professional, caring and responsible person to deliver advice and information, emotional and practical support, monetary assistance and to act as an advocate where necessary to the beneficiaries of the Fund in the South East of England. Dedication and a good sense of humour are important qualities.

The applicant will work as part of a team of Almoners throughout the country. A background in social care/welfare rights would be an advantage as would knowledge of the racing industry.

The successful applicant will own their own vehicle and be prepared to use it on the charity’s business, for which a mileage allowance will be paid. The role requires some weekend work during the autumn months whilst selling IJF merchandise at racecourses.
