INITIAL CONSULTATION

We charge $250 for an initial consultation of one hour. Payment must be made in advance of the consultation. If your consultation extends beyond one hour, we will ask for payment for that additional time at the conclusion of the consultation, or bill you later, at the rate of $250. We do not perform any services at a flat rate, or on a contingency basis.

If you decide to retain our offices for representation, you will be asked to sign a fee agreement and to deposit a retainer into our trust account, which will be discussed during the initial consultation. We will begin work when we have received the signed fee agreement and the requested retainer. We will not undertake any work for you following the initial consultation until we have a signed fee agreement and retainer. Most matters also require that we receive copies or originals of client documents before we can begin work.

Matters discussed in the consultation are protected by the attorney-client privilege, even if you do not retain us for representation. For that reason, only persons necessary to the discussion should be present during the consultation, and the contents of the discussion should not be discussed with anyone else except your legal advisors.
