2. Electricalsafety.

a)Powertoolplugsmustmatchtheoutlet.Nevermodifythepluginanyway.Donot

useanyadapterplugswithearthed(grounded) powertools.Unmodifiedplugsand

matchingoutletswillreduceriskofelectricshock.

b)Avoidbodycontactwithearthedorgroundedsurfacessuchaspipes,radiators,rangesandrefrigerators.Thereisanincreasedriskofelectricshockifyourbodyisearthedorgrounded.

c)Donotexposepowertoolstorainorwetconditions.Waterenteringapowertoolwillincreasetheriskofelectricshock.

d)Donotabusethecord.Neverusethecordforcarrying,pullingorunpluggingthepowertool.Keepcordawayfromheat,oil,sharpedgesormovingparts.Damagedorentangledcordsincreasetheriskofelectricshock.

e)When operating a power tool outdoors, usean extensioncord suitable foroutdooruse.Useofacordsuitableforoutdoorusereducestheriskofelectricshock.

f)Ifoperatingapowertoolinadamplocationisunavoidable,usearesidualcurrentdevice(RCD)protectedsupply.UseofanRCDreducestheriskofelectricshock.

3. Personalsafety.

a)Stayalert,watchwhatyouaredoingandusecommonsensewhenoperatinga

powertool.Donotuseapowertoolwhileyouaretiredorundertheinfluenceof

drugs,alcoholormedication.Amomentofinattentionwhileoperatingpowertoolsmay

resultinseriouspersonalinjury.

b)Usepersonalprotectiveequipment.Alwaysweareyeprotection.Protectiveequipmentsuchasdustmask,non-skidsafetyshoes,hardhat,orhearingprotectionusedforappropriateconditionswillreducepersonalinjuries.

c)Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure theswitchisintheoff-position beforeconnectingtopowersourceand/or batterypack,pickinguporcarryingthetool.Carryingpowertoolswithyourfingerontheswitchorplugginginpowertoolsthathavetheswitchoninvitesaccidents.

d)Removeanyadjustingkeyorwrenchbeforeturningthepowertoolon.Awrenchorakeyleftattachedtoarotatingpartofthepowertoolmayresultinpersonalinjury.

e)Donotoverreach.Keepproperfootingandbalanceatalltimes.Thisenablesbetter

controlofthepowertoolinunexpectedsituations.

f) Dressproperly.Donotwearlooseclothingorjewelry.Keepyourhair,clothingandglovesawayfrommovingparts. Looseclothes,jewelryorlonghaircanbecaughtinmovingparts.

g)Ifdevicesareprovidedfortheconnectionofdustextractionandcollectionfacilities,ensuretheseareconnectedandproperlyused.Useofthesedevicescanreducedust-relatedhazards.

4. Powertooluseandcare.

a)Donotforcethepowertool.Usethecorrectpowertoolforyourapplication.The

correctpowertoolwilldothejobbetterandsaferattherateforwhichitwasdesigned.

b)Donotusethepowertooliftheswitchdoesnotturnitonandoff. Anypowertoolthatcannotbecontrolledwiththeswitchisdangerousandmustberepaired.

c)Disconnecttheplug fromthepower sourceand/or thebatterypackfromthepower tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storingpowertools.Suchpreventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskofstartingthepowertoolaccidentally.

d)Store idlepower toolsoutofthereachofchildren anddonotallowpersonsunfamiliarwiththepowertoolortheseinstructionstooperatethepowertool.Powertoolsaredangerousinthehandsofuntrainedusers.

e)Maintainpower tools. Checkfor misalignment or binding of moving parts,breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power toolsoperation.Ifdamaged,havethepowertoolrepairedbeforeuse.Manyaccidentsarecausedbypoorlymaintainedpowertools.

f) Keepcuttingtoolssharpandclean.Properlymaintainedcuttingtools withsharpcuttingedgesarelesslikelytobindandareeasiertocontrol.

g)Usethepowertool,accessoriesandtoolbitsetc.,inaccordancewiththeseinstructionsandinthemannerintendedfortheparticulartypeofpowertool,takingintoaccounttheworkingconditionsandtheworktobeperformed.Useofthepowertoolforoperationsdifferentfromintendedcouldresultinahazardoussituation.

5. Service

a)Haveyourpowertoolservicedbyaqualifiedrepairpersonusingonlyidentical

replacementparts.Thiswillensurethatthesafetyofthepowertoolismaintained.

1. Removetheplugfromthesocketbeforecarryingoutanyadjustment,servicingormaintenance.

2. Fullyunwindcabledrumextensionstoavoidpotentialoverheating.

Liftthesandingpaperretainingclipstotheopenpositionandinsertoneendofthesandingpaperundertheretainingclip.

Depresson/o switch(1)thenlock-onbutton(2),releaseon/o switchfirstandlock-onbuttonsecond.Yourswitchisnowlockedonforcontinuoususe.Toswitchoyoursanderjustdepressandreleasetheon/o switch.

4.USINGTHESANDER (SeeFig.D)Theworkpiecetobesandedmustbesecured.Ifitissmalloritmaymoveduringsanding,itmustbeheldinaviceorsuitablyclamped.

Besuretoholdthesanderfirmlywhilstitisonandapplyitgentlytothework,itmay“kick”onfirstcontact.Holdthesandersothatitisflatontheworkandmoveslowly,preferablywithasmooth,circularmotion.Regularlychecktheconditionofthesandingpaperandreplacewhenwornforbestresults.

MAINTENANCE

Removetheplugfromthesocketbeforecarryingoutanyadjustment,servicingormaintenance.

Yourpowertoolrequiresnoadditional

lubricationormaintenance.

Therearenouserserviceablepartsinyourpowertool.Neverusewaterorchemicalcleanerstocleanyourpowertool.Wipecleanwithadrycloth.Alwaysstoreyourpowertoolinadryplace.Keepthemotorventilationslotsclean.Keepallworkingcontrolsfreeofdust.Occasionallyyoumayseesparksthroughtheventilationslots.Thisisnormalandwillnotdamageyourpowertool.

Ifthesupplycordisdamaged,itmustbereplacedbythemanufacturer,itsserviceagentorsimilarlyqualifiedpersonsinordertoavoidahazard.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1.Ifyoursanderwillnotoperate,checkthepoweratthemainsplug.

2.Ifthesanderdoesnotabradesurface,checkingthesandingpaper.Ifthesandingpaperhavebeenworn,replacethenewpaperandtryagain.Thepapermustbe

keptinadryplace,ifitisallowedtobecomedamp,theabrasiveparticleswilllosetheiradhesiontothebackingpaperandwillnotabrade.

3.Ifthesanderdosenotmovesmoothly,Thesandingpapermaybeloose,damagedorwrinkled.Replaceandtryagain.

4.Ifafaultcannotberectifiedreturnthesandertoanauthorizeddealerforrepair.
