Information to Church Treasurers and others involved in calculating M&M
Notes to assist in completion of M&M forms.
The basis of the current method of assessing the amount each church might contribute to the Ministry and Mission Fund was agreed at Synod in November 2010 and the full details are given in the document on the web site, which is shown as

Please refer to that document for the information and how to use the forms (spreadsheets) available to complete the calculation.
The form (spreadsheet) has again been reviewed and a new version is now available and should be used until further notice.
An example using the new form has been created and is shown as

The example shown is for guidance only and the figures contained in it (particularly any % values) should not be taken as an indication of any individual church figures.
Please use this to help creating your own.
For further advice and assistance please remember you can always get in touch with your county Finance Networker who will be willing to offer help and guidance. Contact details for the networkers are shown in the table below.
The revised form for use for 2017 and to make the 2018 offers (mentioned above) is called

New for completions in 2017
Where it is possible (for most but not all churches) the form has been populated with information supplied for offers made for 2017 (name and number of church, relevant income % and 2017 offer amount).
It is vital that the remainder of the form is completed on behalf of your church to ensure accurate information and calculation for the 2018 amount.
Some additional guidance notes are set out below – and also relate to the example.
Please enter your detail in the boxes shown coloured with light green background.
Cells with a rose / pink background should not be used.
The figures for cells with a light turquoise background will be generated from the information you supply.
The final light turquoise cell on the last row of the spreadsheet contains the figure for an additional 1% gift, in accordance with Resolution 28 from General assembly 2014. Should your church wish to give more that the 1% extra (or decide against any additional amount) then please manually amend this cell.
