CLOTHING EVALUATION
(Must Do This Activity)
Look over the infant clothing on the counter or at a store.
Following the criteria found on the clothing evaluation
form, choose 3 outfits to evaluate.
Sweet Art
(CORN SYRUP (or sweetened condensed milk) ART)
  1. Pour A LITTLE BIT of corn syrup into the cup. Add some food coloring for paint.
  2. Using the Q-tip for a paintbrush, the colored corn syrup for paint, and the white paper; create a painting masterpiece.
  3. When you are finished, throw away the Q-tip but leave the cups of paint for the next person, clean up any mess, and, place it somewhere safe to dry.

PIPE CLEANER FIGURES
  1. Choose NO MORE THAN 3 PIPE CLEANERS to create aFIGURE.
  2. Create something by: cutting them into pieces, shape them, decorate with cut construction paper –
  3. You could follow the directions on papers if you would rather do that. Please return the instruction papers.

INFANT MOBILE
Create a mobile, windmill, toy, or object that will help a newborn learn and strengthen their eye muscles.
Use the class supplies or your own resources.
PEEK-A-BOO
Design something that can play Peek-a-Boo with a child. (an object that open’s and closes or disappears and appears)
  • Use a plate to make a happy face and, when turned upside down, it makes a sad face.
Make this look exciting and appealing to a child.
STAINED GLASS SHAPE SORTING
  1. Fold construction paper as you would a snowflake.
  2. Cut shapes into folded paper.
  3. Open the paper to reveal various shape cut outs.
  4. Cut out various colors of tissue paper and glue them to the shape cut outs.

PAPER PLATE RATTLE
  1. Take ONE plate and Decorate the outside of the plate.
  2. Fold it in half and staple around the edges so that there are not any gaps, but leave a spot open to pour the beans into
  3. Fill up the little cup with a LITTLE BIT of beans and pour it into the opening.
  4. Finish stapling the plate and shake your rattle.
  5. IF YOU PLAN ON THROWING THIS AWAY, PLEASE EMPTY THE BEANS OUT FIRST.

CONSTRUCTION SITE
Construct with the blocks and legos. Use the various toys and props to enhance your structures.

Trace your hand on the textured paper (wallpaper) and cut it out.
