New software for perfecting ski production makes a convincing impression at the ISPO
Highest levels of process efficiency and production reliability: Fill's "Efficiency Control Cockpit" sets new production standards in ski and snowboard manufacturing.
"Efficiency Control Cockpit" – the IT-assisted tool for data acquisition in ski and snowboard production systems met with a great deal of interest at the world's largest trade fair for sports goods ISPO (6th to 9th February 2011) in Munich. The intelligent software tool provides support in optimizing productivity and scheduling maintenance tasks. "This results in production being significantly more efficient and stable," says Wilhelm Rupertsberger, Manager of the Fill Plastics Competence Center, summing up the benefits of the innovative software package.
Munich/Gurten 09 February 2011 – The "expert talks" on the Fill Machine Engineering exhibition stand, to which ISPO 2011 visitors were invited, proved to be a resounding success. Customers and partners alike were impressed by the innovative ability of the global market leader in the field of ski and snowboard production systems. The latest example of this is the Fill "Efficiency Control Cockpit" plant information system. The IT-assisted tool for data acquisition creates a comprehensive information base, integrating perfectly into the production facility, providing support in optimizing plant productivity and scheduling maintenance tasks. "As a result, productivity is maximized and possible fault sources minimized," explains Wilhelm Rupertsberger, adding that: "The combined software modules support decision-making in the field of productivity optimization and maintenance tasks, including condition-based maintenance."
Perfect solutions for demanding applications
As a leader in automation and machining technology, Fill Machine Engineering is an “ideas factory” for individual complete solutions. In the field of plastics, the company develops composite production systems for the sports, wind power, automotive, and aerospace industries. The Upper Austrian high-tech company has dominated the scene in sports technology for ski and snowboard production systems for decades now. From component manufacturing to production analysis, the best individual solutions are implemented in cooperation with the customers.
Maximum productivity - minimum error sources
Decisions in the fields of production optimization, maintenance tasks, quality assurance, and investment planning are supported automatically by means of the combined modules ("supervising", "logging", "tracing", "tracking", "monitoring"). This facilitates rapid determination of plant operating parameters. The complete plant history (instead of snapshot analyses) allows greater focus on actual problem sources. Additional information from the components enables target-oriented and resource-optimized maintenance.
