Official Course Description
Covers the classification of metals, identification of tool steels and their applications. The student will be required to perform advanced milling machine operations that simulate industry standards. Special projects are included in this course so the student will receive instruction in a specific area

There will be five projects ar 100 points per project.

Guidelines for Success
Attendance Policy
Regular attendance and punctuality are expected for successful completion of this course. Attendance is taken daily and kept as a record.
ADA Policy

Late Work Policy
If a student is absent, it is the responsibility of the student to be prepared for class on the day of return. If a test is given on that day, the student should be prepared to take it. It is the student responsibility to contact the instructor in reference to missed work. It is the student's responsibility to make arrangements with the instructor to complete this work. All missed exams must be scheduled with the instructor the day the student returns. This is the student's responsibility. A grade of zero will be given on all missed quizzes and exams not scheduled properly.
Make-up Policy
All make-up work must be scheduled within three days of absence.
Withdrawal Policy
Students may withdraw from a class at their discretion with a "W" prior to the completion of the eighth week of classes. This date is _October 6______. The last day for a student, at the discretion of the instructor, to officially withdraw from a class and receive a grade of "W" is ____December 5______.

Writing

Critical Thinking Competency- Students will be required to produce parts while realizing the proper sequence the part production requires. The part cannot be finished to standard if the correct sequence is not followed.
