MyStages of Life Project

For each part you will need to document each item with pictures and dollar amounts where applicable.

Assignments must be on one of the following forms: Power Point, word document or binder/notebook/scrapbook.

It is imperative that you are on task each class period in order to complete this project and turn it in for your final exam.

Part I: Plan your Own Wedding

You need the following:

Who are you marrying? How do you know you are a good pair?

Budget- How much do you have or are you and family willing to spend?

Where, when, how—all the details of the wedding-use wedding checklist

What do you want your ceremony to look like?Traditional or non-traditional?

Attire- depends on style or theme of wedding

Invitations-how many are invited?

Location-church, home, outdoors, mountain top?

Attendants-how many? needs to be equal # for bride and groom

Flowers-real, silk, greenery only

Reception- Where? What? cake, food, beverage, entertainment

Transportation-limo, carriage, Misc extra’s-Gifts, Favors, etc.

Part II: Life after Marriage

  1. You need the following:

What career does each of you have?

What is the income from both jobs?

Where specifically do you live? Type of home? Vehicles or use public transportation?

Budget- typical income/expenditures for one month

How will you ensure that your personal goals (education, financial) are met?

Part III: Now and the Future

You need the following:

Children –Yes/no? How many boys, girls, names for each

School- public, private, home?

Savings-how much will you need to save-think of inflation

Insurance- health, life, home, auto

What do you want your life to look like?

Part 4: Retirement Stage

You need the following:

Place to live- private home, with a family member, assisted living, nursing home

Source of income- Savings (how much), Investments

Health Care Plan- Who pays?

Family Interactions-What do you want your later stage in life to look like?

Part 5: Death

You will need the following:

Burial Plan- Cremation or Burial Location

Why do you want to be buried or have ashes scattered in a specific location?

What legacy do you want to leave behind? How do you want people to remember you?

What would your eulogy say?
