[Standard: Four, 20-minute talks (17 minutes per talk plus 3 minutes Q&A); Panel Session: Maximum of 4 Panelists; Film Presentation: Maximum of 90-minutes; you may incorporate a discussion period following the film if you so choose, but it must occur within the confines of the 90-minute allotment. Please indicate the run time of the film/movie. If Other is selected, please describe the format you envision for your proposed session.]

Session titles and descriptions are published on the web site and in the program. Be descriptive, compelling and concise.

State the purpose of the session, describe the session’s focus and overarching message, and provide an overview of how the session topic is timely and important to dynamic conditions of Louisiana’s coastal communities, environment, and economy.

List Proposed Session Presenters, Talk Titles and Contact Information:

  • list confirmed speakers (those who have been contacted, plan to attend the conference and will speak if session is approved)
  • include a specific title for each speaker’s talk
  • offer a diverse mix of speakers and organizations represented, each of whom brings a different perspective to the session
  • speakers are limited to giving one talk; confirm they were not contacted by another organizer

OPTIONAL:

If you leave one speaker slot blank, we will email you the list of contributed abstracts so you may review submissions and identify a fourth speaker to complement your session. We encourage you to consider involving at least one student in your session in order to help build the next generation of coastal leaders.

Moderator Introduction / The first 5 minutes of each session is listed as a Session Introduction & Overview. This serves as a buffer to allow time for attendees to arrive and be seated.
