Criteria:
Before preparing a personnel handbook, the leadership intern:
1. determined whether a handbook existed in the school or district
2. presented the topic of a handbook to the governing board and obtained board support for its development
In developing a personnel handbook, the leadership intern:
3. selected a format which allowed for ready additions or deletions as changes become necessary
4. organized the handbook to provide ready access to the information contained in it
5. gathered information to be included in the handbook
6. indexed the information in the handbook for reference
7. involved faculty and staff in developing the handbook
8. arranged for quality printing of handbook
After the personnel handbook was prepared, the leadership intern:
9. provided each employee with a numbered copy on a loan basis
10. updated all copies as changes occurred, circulating revised pages to replace existing pages as necessary
